do my best without regret

I watched this movie through the small screen in front of my seat on the plane flying back to Shanghai from Singapore today.
In fact, this is a comedy, but the whole film is bland, and the male protagonist is still dumb. At the end of the film, he completed the competition. Although he only won the last place, he set a record in the United Kingdom, so he still returned home with pride and pride. . This movie tells us that sticking to our dreams will have a good ending.

After the film ended, a line appeared: The important thing in life is not the triumph but the struggle. Seeing this, tears fell instantly, and I wanted to escape to the bathroom, but came the broadcast "We encounter unstable airflow, please stay in your seat. Fasten your seat belt...", so I could only fasten the seat belt and sit on the seat crying like a dog.

I think of many moments in the past, all the hesitation and suffering in these years when I was walking on thin ice, and those things that have not been realized when I am 30 years old.

Another point of crying is why Eddie loves his mother so much and wants to go bankrupt for his dream to come true. Even if it was a dream that seemed out of reach at the time, why has my mother never supported the things I love so wholeheartedly. Although she loves me very much, I do not feel that I have received a lot of spiritual support and encouragement from my parents, at least not what I want. Much of my lack of self-confidence in the past was mostly related to coming from a family full of negativity. Because I didn't get this support when I was a kid, when I grew up, I was happy to help my lover and friends realize their dreams, what I was missing, I was willing to give to those I cared about, which made me very happy.

In addition, shedding tears at an altitude of 10,000 meters is not too low.

Eddie the Eagle quotes

  • Matti Nykänen: You and I... You and I are like one o'clock and eleven o'clock. You see, we are closer to each other than to others. Winning, losing, all that stuff is for the little people. Men like us, we jump to free our souls. We are the only two jumpers with a chance to make history today. If we do less than our best with the whole world watching, it will kill us inside. For all time.

    Eddie Edwards: Good luck, Matti.

  • Official Speaker: [At the Closing Ceremony of the Calgary Olympics] You have broken world records. You have established many of your own personal bests and some of you have even soared like an eagle.
