When the curtain is too dirty to watch
such intuitive dirt and obscenity become the audience's viewing needs? If Sasha Baron Cohen's "Dictator" has political metaphors to be commended, "Ace Powers: Greensby" is a far cry from the illogical use of all kinds of "dirty stuff" with no lower bounds as a ridiculous catalyst for the film. For the first time, I felt that it was right that such a film was not released in the mainland. The big screen was too filthy to watch. But when it comes to absurdity and illogicality, this film can't be considered the worst, because there are still humble works like "Supermodel 2" to come to the bottom. Only using "dirty materials" to reflect the "cheapness" of the protagonist is not a high-level method, although using this method temporarily can refresh people's "dirty bottom line". But it doesn't take long for people to use this method too frequently, and people's "dirty bottom line" will soon come to an end, and it will gradually level out. In comedies, let alone funny films, it is very common to use some "dirty materials", "toxic materials", and "color materials". They play their own role in the film like all other normal props-promoting The development of the plot, the expression of the characters, and the hints of the theme of the film. However, once the directors and screenwriters use these "dirty materials", "poison materials" and "color materials" recklessly, thinking that they are some kind of comedy essential elixir, they not only evaporate the enthusiasm of the audience, but also consume their own creative talents.
The same ideological core as the
feature film can be seen only by looking at the title and the movie poster, it is a spoof for the feature film "Ace Agent: The Secret Service". Both of them, aside from the title (albeit a translation), the style of the poster, have the same actor, Mark Strong, who starred in both films at the same time. The big boss of the film is a well-known philanthropist. She developed a virus called "World Elixir", and plans to spread the virus with the celebration fireworks after the World Cup finals, thereby infecting tens of thousands of fans from all over the world. It's up to them to bring the virus back home, so that the philanthropist's plan to help the world clear 1 billion worth of useless scum. Consider how the characters in the film define Norby as nothing more than a "working-class rascal." In the feature film, the big boss transmits viruses by dispatching mobile phones, making people kill each other to death. The purpose is the same as the original intention, both to improve the quality of life on this earth. The difference is the way they pick who should survive. In the feature film, those national dignitaries, local wealthy, and industry elites are selected, and the direction is from top to bottom; in this film, the philanthropist chooses the venue for the World Cup finals. She believes that this group is the "scum" at the bottom of the society, and the direction is bottom-up.
A World Cup that doesn't exist The
only World Cup England won was in 1966, a World Cup hosted by England. In the film, Nobby begins by shouting to see the 2016 World Cup in Chile. First of all, 2016 was not the year to host the World Cup, 2014 was, and 2018 was also. Secondly, the World Cup will not be held in Chile in 2014 or 2018, in Brazil in 2014, in Russia in 2018, and in 1962 when the World Cup was held in Chile. I still remember a number that appeared in the film, 200016, it was a number tattooed on Nobby's chest, and the two zeros in the middle were given to him by the tattoo master. The agent's younger brother has repeatedly emphasized how long it is until the year that number arrives. It was a year that the two brothers could not reach, and a year that England could not reach. Together with this fictional World Cup year that does not exist, it is unclear whether this is a kind of satisfaction with the slim chance of competing for the World Cup championship, or a self-deprecating loneliness, or even a self-deprecating last resort for the glory of the former empire is gone forever.
