Scene setting. In AvP is the Aztec Pyramid buried deep in the polar regions. The pyramids are reassembled every ten minutes. Alien is a beast practiced by the alien uncles. Alien aunt who can be activated at any time. Anyhow, it's a bit new. Look at AvP:R, a quiet town in the United States. Folk house. Middle school. Flies in the restaurant. Forests, hospitals, sewers. It's all scenes that have appeared countless times in countless horror movies that are not scary at all. Of course, most of these scenes can attract American natives. In a place like a paradise, there is an unavoidable bloody massacre. . . Wasn't The Blair Witch Project playing this tune back then, selling the $80,000 tattered shed for a minute at the price of the Star of Africa?
Role. Although the role of a horror movie cannot be forced, but at any rate it should give people a certain impression, isn't it? AvP's role is somewhat angular. For example, the brave black sister Sanaa Lathan, the calm and wise Roman brother Raoul Bova, and the crazy but domineering rich grandfather Lance Henriksen. AvP: R is different. It's the style of traditional American movies again: the white trash who fights for picking up girls, and the kid who sees monsters screaming. In front of the alien, her knees were weak, and the female silver obediently suffered. The obscure sheriff. The fuzzy-faced beggar helps grandpa. The obscure aunt Michale Dessler. The moment of crisis is also high, "The government will not deceive the people." It made me lose all my affection.
action. Is it dripping? It's a matter of personal taste. AvP has some cool action scenes. For example, when the alien was silently preparing to attack the alien uncle, the cold light flashed, and half of the alien's head slowly slipped off. AvP: R doesn’t have these stuff. Traditional horror movies. The alien uncle's fight with aliens is nothing more than a push, and even a bitch fight is worse. Not to mention the action directors who have left Europe and Hong Kong. The Strauss brothers still embrace the handicapped and use decades of old-fashioned shooting actions: shots, hits, and people fly out. There are three shots in a round, except that you can't see clearly, you still can't see clearly.
So, if you are a fan of traditional American plasma tablets, this film is not necessarily bad. But if you want to see the continuation of the AvP style, I am afraid to be disappointed.
