Dignity is not granted and revolutionized, but is proved by one's own efforts.

This is a sports movie. I have a good impression of Hollywood sports movies. "The Age of Pentium", "Miracle on Ice" and "Million Golden Arm" have all made my blood boil, and this "Black Lightning" has not made my blood boil. Disappointed.
The story takes place from 1933 to 1936, 30 years before Martin Luther King Jr.'s 1962 "I Have a Dream". Although Lincoln abolished slavery in 1862, most African-Americans did not have the right to vote. The society is still discriminated against, and the gift does not bring dignity. But today African Americans have made remarkable achievements in all areas of society, including sports, music, film, justice, and even the highest authority in the United States, the president. Looking back on the road of dignity for more than 100 years, they did not have uprisings or revolutions. They only used actions to tell people: I have dignity and I am worthy of respect. Just like the protagonist in the movie, you can discriminate against me, but I use my grades to tell you that I am the best.
This film is adapted from real characters. Real-life themes are a shortcut and a challenge for the screenwriter. The screenwriter can write a nihilistic plot world without having to worry about it, but it limits the action space of the characters, resulting in the final climax not so high. The screenwriter of this film made a good choice in the plot, highlighting the protagonist's family emotional line and social discrimination against blacks, weakening the extramarital affairs that led to the rift in the protagonist's family, and there was a degree of relaxation.
In terms of performances, except for Goebbels' performance with cerebral palsy, everyone else is excellent, especially the new black actors who are enabled, and it seems that there will be more room for development.
Other decoration projects are also good, the soundtrack is not much, but it is inserted in a timely manner to enhance the atmosphere; the biographies do not need too many special effects; the editing and perspective are very comfortable.
In terms of values, I have reservations about participating in the Olympics held by Nazi Germany.

Larry Snyder: [Staring at stopwatch in disbelief] No, no problem!
Jesse Owens: Want me to do it again?
Larry Snyder: Sure!
