Spent a few clips revisiting My Sassy Girl.
I remember seeing this movie for the first time in high school, when I was simply moved by the male protagonist. Now there are many different feelings.
This is probably why I like to brush classic movies over and over again.
Standing at different stages of life, re-watching the film from different perspectives and examining yourself are still timeless.

About the hero.
The male protagonist, Morning Bull, has been defined as a cowardly and kind-hearted character since his appearance.
The strict family education environment from childhood made him possess a well-regulated and good character. His mother's reprimand and his lack of bright spots in the first half of his life created his extremely unconfident character.
In fact, the male protagonist didn't like the savage female protagonist at first. From his reaction when the female protagonist called the male protagonist on a blind date later, he could see that he did not like savagery and had no tendency to be abused.
He is just weak. So when realizing that the heroine is brutally sad at the same time because of the inner pain, the sympathy of the morning bull is aroused and the idea of being a savior arises.
Many people were originally as kind-hearted as the male protagonist, but after hitting a wall, they gradually understood the cruelty of society. Most people will become indifferent, even murderous, to harm the weaker.
The male protagonist in the film gives the impression that he is innocent, indifferent and stupid. But I think he is the one who understands the most in his heart, more than the heroine, more than everyone in the film, and even more than most of us.
The most touching thing in the film should be that at 100 days, the heroine played the piano on the stage like a lady, and the hero took a rose and gave it to her. This moment represents that the heroine has been slowly healed, and the original image of a sensible lady has been restored, and the hero has begun to truly fall in love with the heroine.
And in the taxi, the male protagonist asked the driver to drive slower. That kind of deep, silent and careful love instantly captured the hearts of a large number of girls.

About the heroine.
The heroine's appearance is the exact opposite of that of the male lead.
In terms of feelings, she is selfish, because the morning bull is very similar to the deceased ex, she regards him as a substitute, including pushing the morning bull into the water, and then rescuing it, in fact, to make up for watching the ex drowning Regret of death. She felt more guilty about Morning Bull, and her separation was mostly because she couldn't accept new feelings.
The emotional trauma in the past made her trapped in the pain of the past and could not extricate herself from it, and her heart was very heavy.
But from the perspective of the heroine's injustice-loving character and good tutoring, her essence should be a lady. Savage is her defensive psychology and emotional catharsis. The essence is to live strong.
The words that I said to the deserters should also be said to myself. It can be seen that the heroine actually understands love very well.
-Why believe him?
-I believe in myself.

about love.
The best love is when two people with imperfect personalities fall in love and heal each other, to be better together.
Because of love, the heroine who was originally traumatized and became brutal and painful returns to a lady, and the hero who was originally weak and unconfident Grow into a man who works harder and is more enterprising.
Love can destroy a person, and good love can also heal the pain of previous growth.
When the time is not ripe, grow up and wait for each other. When the doomed moment comes, everything will become inevitable.
People who are destined to be together will be together no matter what.

Destiny is the bridge between you and the one you love. - "My Sassy Girl"

My Sassy Girl quotes

  • [after Kyun-woo reads one of The Girl's screenplays]

Kyun-woo: They have to kiss in the end.

The Girl: This isn't a melodrama. It's an action movie.

Kyun-woo: You don't know movies. Koreans like melodramas.

    The Girl: Why?

Kyun-woo: Know what novel touched us when we were teenagers? 'Shower' by Hwang Sun-won. It shaped our people's sensibility in their teens. Koreans like sad movies all because of 'Shower.'

The Girl: 'Shower'? What's sad about it?

Kyun-woo: It's sad when she asked to be buried in the clothes reminiscent of her love. I couldn't sleep for one week.

The Girl: The ending sucks. Gotta change it.

  • Kyun-woo: With other guys, try to surrender even for just once, not try to win.
