The relationship between husband and wife and youth is like an enemy, like a good friend, like a father and son (mother and son), like a couple (rival in love). All these subtle relationships and psychological changes take place on a small boat, a place far away from human society and far from the land.
The whole film feels similar to Hitchcock, especially similar to [Rope]. There are only three actors in the whole film from beginning to end, and the whole storyline also revolves around them. And it's a black-and-white film, and the music is obviously carefully choreographed.
Many of the shots in the film are beautiful and well-composed. Interestingly, the screen is approximately square, and the black and white tone adds a lot of unique beauty.
