Many of the hand-painted artworks in the film are all done by Metallica Bass player Cliff Burton. The "Hesher" logo on the poster is the deformation of Metallica, and the tattoo of The Misfits skull on Hesher's arm, Cliff I also have one. The headshot villain on the chest feels like a tribute to The Cure, as well as the domineering middle finger and hinge. Hesher wears Mortorhed, his car is Metallica's iconic Ford Black Van, and the music played in the car and the soundtrack to the entire film are Big M and Mortorhead. The end credits are "Motorbreath".
It's an independent film, but unfortunately the director went to shoot American dramas later.
