The lingering scarlet fate

The murderer's heart is already dead.

I have some understanding of the mental pain of the two brothers and sisters, but I can't hate them.

Speaking of which, I also have murderous intentions towards relatives who have a very poor relationship. The kind of person who wants to end the pain and is extremely entangled, and is afraid that he will regret it after it happens. He does everything possible to want him to act according to his own ideas, but the two of them are too close and can't stand it. They want free space. This kind of divided mood is shown in the movie. It's bloody, but it's a good movie.

Edith Cushing: [narrating] Ghosts are real. This much I know. The first time I saw one I was 10 years old. It was my mother's. Black cholera had taken her. So Father ordered a closed casket, asked me not to look. There were to be no parting kisses. No goodbyes. No last words. That is, until the night she came back.

  • Society Girl: It seems he's a baronet.

    Society Girl: What's a baronet?

Society Girl: Well, an aristocrat of some sort.

Edith Cushing: A man that feeds off land that others work for him. A parasite with a title.

Society Girl: This parasite is perfectly charming and a magnificent dancer. Although, that wouldn't concern you, would it, Edith, our very young Jane Austen?
