Humans are the most savage

I am very grateful to the director and this photographer for letting me know the history of extreme poverty and wars in many countries in the world from the beginning of the 19th century to the end of the 20th century, the gold rush in Brazil, the people near the North Pole, Egypt It is unimaginable to imagine the lack of living conditions in Ethiopia, Congo, Brazil, Yarak, Yugoslavia, Kuwait, etc. Perhaps the limitations of human beings make many people think that life is similar to their own in every part of the world. I don't know why Saddam Hussey ordered all the oil fields to be lit, but it turned out that all the people in that land suffered because of it.
I don't know the entanglement of interests and the development of relations between countries in the world, each individual is under the control of the earth's environment and the authorities! The photographer's parents and children planted seeds and reclaimed the wasteland, which improved the ecological environment around the place of residence. The photographer told us with practical actions that nature can be improved by the protection of human beings. But if there is another Saddam regime, how long will it take mankind to slowly heal and smooth the wounds!
Every day of life is so precious! Cherish hard work!

The Salt of the Earth quotes

  • Sebastião Salgado - Photographer: We are a ferocious animal. We humans are terrible animals. Our history is a history of wars. It's an endless story, a tale of madness.

  • Sebastião Salgado - Photographer: To think that these three-month-old trees will reach their apex in 400 years. Perhaps from there we could try to grasp the concept of eternity. Maybe eternity is measurable.
