Hard to be a saint

A long-lost Australian film. I like the countryside of Australia Village and their accent.
The introduction is about Kate's revenge journey back home, but the film tells me a different story.
As in The Life of David Gore, Kate once again plays a truth-seeking, gritty and persistent woman. Kate was wronged and sent away as a child. After more than 20 years, Glorious returned to his hometown, trying to find out the truth of the year. Kate didn't come for revenge. Even, she treats everyone in the town with a heart of repaying grievances with virtue. Patiently clean up the madness and don't want to see her mother's house; make clothes for Xiao Ge who bullied her at the time to help her find confidence; make good-looking dresses for the people in the town... Although she knew that she was wronged at the beginning, she I still want to use my sincerity to get their approval. When Kate said, "I'm not cursed" with Thor's company and comfort, I even thought that the heroine had found family affection and gained love, which would be a happy ending. But the director gave me a note Loud slap.
The lover died unexpectedly, the mother who had just said a few thoughtful words to her also died of a stroke, the guilt-ridden policeman took the blame and left, and even the old lady Emma could not escape the disaster. Seeing that the rest of the town just wanted to use her and didn't accept her, Kate was completely furious, burning her own grievances, her own past, and the ugliness of this town to pieces (Thor mother, they Live out of town and won't be affected). In a closed town, power can create everything, and people always believe in rumors. They would rather sentence a person to death with a rumor that they don't even believe, rather than accept that person's real goodwill. If I can't be a saint, then I'll be a villain. Thor said, "You are wasted here." So, she left.
The film is really a talent show for Australian actors. The old mother who is mad but still has a strong character, the lustful and greedy mayor, the nervous mayor's wife, the strong male protagonist who bears the debt of conscience, the transvestite policeman, and even the old lady Emma and the old doctor. In addition, the soundtrack and costumes are not to mention. This female director is good.
This film is somewhat similar to "Hunting", but this film still reveals a lot of hope, unlike the former one that is completely depressed. But I still don't agree with the director's plot to let all the good people leave if they die, it's a bit deliberate.
