Underworld, whose Dragon City years

I recently watched "Underworld" (Cantonese version) completely again, and suddenly felt that the characters and stories in it were very interesting and worth pondering. Although the movie is talking about the underworld, what it reflects is actually the survival law of the real society.

Let's take a look at several characters in the film:

1. Big D (played by Leung Ka Fai): Characterized by joy in appearance and anger in appearance. Big D's debut was on a small boat, and he and his subordinates were negotiating an election plan. At first you will think he is a ruthless character. For example, he can suddenly rebuke the plane (played by Zhang Jiahui) with a small smile. For example, he can put Longgen and others into a box and push them down from the top of the mountain over and over again. Another example is that he can suddenly blow his beard and stare at the lawyer, reporter, policeman. But in the end, you can see that he is actually just a simple person with a combination of emotions and anger. This kind of person does not have too deep a city government, happy and unhappy are written on his face. At best, it is true temperament; at worst, it is low emotional intelligence. So big D is impossible to become a talker. In the real society, this kind of person can only be short-lived. When others know how much he has, they will no longer pursue him.

2. Ale (played by Ren Dahua): Characterized by strategizing, ruthless and restrained. Contrary to Big D, Ale's performance is not so exaggerated. From the details of the speaker election day, you can smell one or two. Big D, in a suit and leather shoes, walked down the street with his wife's men. Ale dressed plainly and went to the vegetable market alone to buy vegetables; Big D thought he would definitely win, and booked hundreds of tables to entertain his men. Ale only eats hot pot with his son, and after winning, he only asks his son to open a bottle of beer. In the first half of the movie, you can only see Ale's calmness and wisdom. He keeps things low-key and wants to relax. But at the end, I suddenly found that he was not simple, ambitious and ruthless. For example, in order to regain the dragon head stick, he released harsh words to Zhanmi (played by Gu Tianle) to cut off his way, for example, in order to pacify the troubles of the society, he threatened his relatives to shut up and commit suicide, and for example, in order to secure his position as a talker, he would kill a big boss with dissent D crushed. This kind of artificial ingenuity is very scary. So in the end, Ale became the talker. In real society, this kind of person can often win the approval of others, but after a long time of contact, everyone will be in awe of him. Because he does things without mercy, he can even use any means for profit. Never infringe on his one-third of an acre of land, otherwise the consequences will be disastrous.

3. Five Tigers in Search of Sticks - Zhan Mi (played by Gu Tianle), Aircraft (played by Zhang Jiahui), Master Su (played by Zhang Zhaohui), Datou (played by Lin Xue), Dongguan Tsai (played by Lin Jiadong): The characteristics are loyal on the surface and smooth in reality. The identities of these five people are very interesting. They follow different bosses and get together only because of tracking the dragon head stick. The movie does not portray them much, and of course their appearance is only to lead to a sequel. From the only clues, the five of them have two common characteristics, the first is "loyalty". This is not difficult to understand. From the master Su raised his hand to surrender to attract the public security, Datou would rather be beaten to death than to hand over the stick, Dongguan Tsai was afraid of being hit by a stick to kill the traffic police, the plane vowed to fight to the death to defend the right stick, and Jami held the stick to negotiate with Ah Le You can see clues. But the so-called "loyalty" is marked with quotation marks, which also means that they are not so loyal to their boss or the club, everything is for themselves. This is also their second common feature, smooth and smooth. When the faucet stick finally fell into Ale's hands, Ale asked them to call him "Godfather", and no one said no. This kind of person judges the situation and moves with the situation, which is quite smart. In the real society, such people often get along everywhere. They are well versed in the way of doing things in shopping malls, love fields, and the workplace. They can always make people in higher positions feel comfortable when they talk and do things, so their situation will not be much worse. .

4. Deng Bo (played by Wang Tianlin): He is characterized by high morals and respect, relying on the old to sell the old. Deng Bo is a figure of the uncle generation in the gang. Although he looks fat and naive, he has to stand by him when things happen. In the film, there is a scene where Deng Bo and Big D are talking in prison. Big D, who is usually arrogant and domineering, speaks like a wronged child after seeing Deng Bo, which shows that Deng Bo has a high prestige in the gang. In addition, the scene of Deng Bo talking with the police executives is also fresh in my memory. He even dared to use a large number of subordinates to intimidate the police. Obviously, this is also impossible for ordinary people. However, such people often have a problem. Because of their seniority and old age, they often rely on the old to sell the old. Deng Bo's words can be seen in the election of the person who speaks. After saying a few words, he made other uncles vote for A Le, whom he admired. In the real society, such people will be respected by the younger generation, but at the same time they will also be hated by the younger generation, and they will be punished over time. So don't rely on age to suppress the younger generation. After all, the trend of the times is always that the waves behind the Yangtze River push the waves ahead.

5. Blowing Chicken (played by Wang Zhong): It is characterized by being smart and eating bitter fruit. The role of the character blowing chicken is not too much, the reason why I want to mention it here is because what he did is really dumbfounding. He is not as smart as looking for the stick and five tigers. He only thought that handing over the faucet stick would bring trouble, but he didn't expect that hiding the faucet stick would be more troublesome. In fact, at the beginning, he could hand over the faucet stick to Ale, Da D, or Deng Bo, at least he could seek shelter from one of the parties. After that, it was a big mistake to report Big D in the detention ward, and he didn't take into account that his family was still under the control of the gang. Such people are ill-considered, short-sighted and self-righteous. In the real society, such people are often clever but are mistaken by wisdom, lose everything because of being clever, and eventually regret the rest of their lives.

6. Captain Shi (played by You Yong): It is characterized by upholding justice and the edge of black and white. In fact, it's not only Captain Shi, but the other police officers in the film are actually the same. As police officers, they maintain justice, which is naturally the only norm. But in some ways, they also have gray areas. Captain Shi was an undercover agent, so he met Master Su. In order to obtain more information, he released Master Su Yima during law enforcement. This is clearly not in line with the police's code of conduct. This kind of person walks on the edge of black and white, as long as others do not go too far, they can let him go. In the real society, such people are generally upper-level executives. As long as the tasks are assigned, as long as the progress of the matter is not affected, the following actions can be ignored. But it is often because of this that there are many despicable villains who only enjoy benefits and do not do practical things.

Movies are a mirror. What kind of life you choose and what survival rules you follow are all up to your own comprehension.
