freedom of heart

In one year of traveling, I went to India twice, for a total of nearly four months.

It has been nearly a month since Yunyou returned, and he has not done anything, does not want to do anything, and feels lost.
At the beginning, it was a difficult decision to let go of everything and go for a tour. But I realize now that coming back is more difficult than leaving.

Turn on the computer for no purpose and open the folder named India. It was the piecemeal homework I did before I set off, but in fact, I wandered aimlessly and aimlessly afterwards, and these homework did not come in handy at all. I just found out now that in this folder I also put a couple of movies about India.

Nothing to do, so watch a movie. This one, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, I actually saw it years ago, but I didn't even make an impression.
This turned out to be an interesting movie.
Looking at those noisy and chaotic pictures, it seems that I can smell the unique smell mixed with spices, dust, feces, fireworks, and sweat.

The old lady in the movie wrote in her diary: "How far from home do I have to cry?". The Chinese subtitles are translated as "Cry all the way", which is too hypocritical. The "Cry" in the original text may just be a cry without tears.

In any case, this self-examination is still thought-provoking: How far and where do I have to go before I can have freedom of heart?
I didn't have an answer, but suddenly Xiaowu, it turned out that there was a powerful force that made me let go of everything and go far away. What my heart wanted was exactly the freedom of my heart.

Yes, at least you have to walk into the mountains before you can shout to the valley.

Another episode in the movie that impressed me was the breakup of the old couple. "Actually, we all knew it was time to separate, but you are too nice...". They broke up, with a tragic end. But they are also free, happy ending.

This is the story of a group of older people. They went to India together, as if to find out how to spend the days before death, hoping to die without regrets.

I am very fortunate that I have been to India when I was not too old, and I have no regrets to enjoy the freedom of my heart on the long and far journey.
Thank you India, home of the heart.

The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel quotes

  • Jean: The whole thing is actually tremendously exciting. Not just getting on the plane, but getting on the plane and turning left.

    Norman Cousins: Turning left?

Jean: First class. And home in time for our fortieth wedding anniversary. We haven't quite decided how to mark the occasion.

Madge Hardcastle: Perhaps a minute's silence.

  • Evelyn: You're still here.

Douglas Ainslie: I... I missed the plane.

    Evelyn: What about Jean?

Douglas Ainslie: She didn't. I had... I had quite an interesting night actually. I... I met the same... um... taxi driver, but this time I let him take me to his brother's hotel, which turned out to be less of a hotel and more of a... more of a brothel really. And... and they gave... they gave me this pipe, said it was apple tobacco but that's not what they called it when I was a student, so... so I made my excuses and left. I needed time to think. This city at night is extraordinary. I think the apple tobacco helped... probably.
