The first time I watched this movie was from the middle. After watching Huang Qiusheng's "The True Story of Old Port", I felt that his ability to portray characters was quite strong, so I restrained myself and did not change the channel. The result was a big surprise~
The film focuses on the deeds of Ye Wen after arriving in Hong Kong, and tells the story between a martial arts master and his side, especially his apprentice. Let's talk about Huang Qiusheng first, this actor who came out of the third-level film, his acting is really top-notch, because Donnie Yen's Ip Man is earlier than this film, so at first I thought this was an action film, especially after seeing the name, Even more convinced, in terms of fighting, ten Huang Qiusheng are not Donnie Yen's opponents, so Huang Qiusheng's Ye Wen pays more attention to literary drama. He literally turned a martial arts master into an "ordinary person".
The point of view of this play is to portray characters from subtleties and life. I always feel that Huang Qiusheng's Ip Man is more down-to-earth than Donnie Yen's Ip Man.
