Facing History, Keeping Hope

8.9/10 I held my breath with sweaty palms. When I saw one of the scenes, there was no sound effect, but it still brought a great shock, and it was hard to let go. Based on the material after the end of World War II, looking back at it from a different angle, it has a fresh sense of anti-war themes. There are so many metaphors: the debts of the fathers will be repaid by the descendants; carefulness can often avoid danger, negligence can lead to disaster even if it seems safe; the victorious country will deal with the defeated country with its own way of repaying its own body. While the wheel of history is advancing, it is also repeating history. The beautiful hope came from the mouths of the little German prisoners of war: "This country is in ruins, and all this needs to be rebuilt." Face history and keep hope forever.
