After watching the drama, I didn't go to make up the novel.
3 episodes down, the rhythm is smooth. The film is beautiful and the actors are superb. Remove a few details that are not in-depth.
From my own point of view, I am only interested in the character Vera.
I don't know if Vera really loves Hugo.
When she was dying on the rope, she hoped that the person who pushed the door and entered was Hugo.
But when she murdered little Cyril, she was very familiar, precise, and at ease, so-called to give her the right to love Hugo. But this is not real love. Real love is understanding, achievement, and it will make people unconsciously think from the perspective of the other party. The kind Hugo obviously loves little Cyril deeply.
Maybe Vera loved herself the most.
This woman can weave various excuses in the face of Lawrence when her mission is on the line, which is enough to show her calmness and aloofness. It was only when she finally faced Philip that she made a few grabs that she screamed wildly. But this is not like a crash, it is more like a vent.
Her mind was deeper than the tall Philip who killed 21 men.
This may be the reason why the author placed her last.
After watching the drama, it is time to make up for the novel.
