After Vienna, the capital of music, Paris, the capital of romance, and 9 years later, "Before Midnight" moved to Greece, the holy land of love. The family stayed in a country house in Greece for six weeks. The European way of life is still much higher than that of us, who are driving with cameras on their backs. However, this one is very different from the first two. After the most beautiful encounter and the luckiest reunion, the next step in love can only be life.
The film opens with a jarring farewell between Jesse and his ex-wife's son Henry. As a father, Jesse missed most of his son's upbringing, felt extremely apologetic, and showed love everywhere. The son, on the other hand, naturally felt that he didn't need his father, accepted it with estrangedness, and left without looking back. Fortunately, this sadness quickly turned to driving home with Celine and a pair of angelic twins, Lolita. They are still together at last. It's not a reunion after a long absence, it's a family. They discussed some household chores in the car, and like all parents in the world, they played their children like monkeys, and recalled that their own parents were like that. Although the content is incomparable to the literary and artistic discussions of life and love in the first two films, it is obviously the warmth of a family, not just the spark of two people.
