The keel martial artist is in charge of the friendship between the rivers and lakes.

Donnie Yen has been around for so many years, from cool boxing to meaty martial arts moves to orthodox, restrained and reserved moves. It seems that there is not much expectation in the moves. It can be seen that "Ip Man" is already the last series of his martial arts career. After all, Jackie Chan also went international from the glory of "Police Story". But compared to Jackie Chan in Jackie Chan's movies, who loves to speak truth and can speak truth to the truth, Donnie Yen is really not as good as Jackie Chan's performance in literary dramas. There is still a certain gap between "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" under Ang Lee and "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" under Yuan Heping.

Compared with Ang Lee, Yuan Heping who went to Hollywood seems to be more American, although the Weiya special effects and the sword dragon yin in the Qingming Sword are all there, and it can even be seen in the movie that both Cantonese and English dialogues are used. It shows that what really affects the plot is no longer the mysterious sense of elegance and restraint in the East. In terms of literary drama, although it is not his strong point, it can still be seen that Yuan Heping still wants to reproduce the suppressed feelings of the East, but the effect is not very good. This may be a common problem of keel martial artist directors. Emotional lines are scattered and love and loyalty are entangled in Ang Lee's hands, and they are separated in his hands. The laughs of the whole film to adjust the atmosphere are all in charge of the people in the rivers and lakes. The bad characters are simple and straightforward, and it doesn't even take much time to be KO'd.

But the flaw is the appearance of new characters in the film. The biggest bright spot is Michelle Yeoh's apprentice Liu Chengyu. The beauty and skill are not those of Zheng Peipei who was brought up when he was young. Especially rare is Lin Qingxia's double chin, which is rarely seen in Chinese. Firmness is a bit similar to the heroine in "Star Wars". Compared to Yu Jiaolong's poor and miserable portrait before, Liu Chengyu is the biggest gain in this film.

In the end, I still hope that Donnie Yen and Michelle Yeoh will stop being responsible for the morality and affection of the rivers and lakes. Shooting this kind of film all day will make you feel bad.
