As someone who has just reviewed Ang Lee's old work, this sequel is quite disappointing. Of course, I didn't expect Yuan Heping to make a Ang Lee-scented human heart, but I still hope to see a neat and scrutinized martial arts story. At least it has to live up to the reputation of its predecessor. But "Qingming Baojian" obviously didn't do it. Well, when I watched the trailer, I had a bad feeling. The scene of Donnie Yen riding a horse on the grassland alone is really like a cowboy in the American West, and then the core is to play. Sure enough, several main characters in the feature film all rely on the play to appear. First, there was an ambush in the forest at the beginning, which led to the second male Wei Fang and the masked male first Meng Sizhao. Then the second female Xueping entered the Xilian Sect alone, which was another small fight, and the second female was full of tacit understanding with the second male. During the fight, Meng Sizhao recognized the identity of the second male, and Meng Sizhao recruited the allies in the tavern (they were all cannon fodder in the end), which was also a featureless fight. You really can't tell a good story without playing. As a director who started out as a martial arts instructor, it is no problem to play as the main focus. However, what bothers me the most is that the director's ability to tell a story in the language of the film is basically zero. That's right, I'm talking about the damn narration! This nightmare started as soon as Yu Xiulian appeared on the stage. Our upright sister Xiulian gave a voice of bitterness and hatred, and then used this dismaying voice to read out a great truth about the morality of the rivers and lakes. However, we all understand this truth, and we still can’t stop the evil bad guys. As a result, a battle for the Qingming Sword was imminent. All the Confederates except our protagonist became cannon fodder, but their wisdom will be remembered. In the end, justice triumphs over evil. By the way, Sister Xiulian and Meng Sizhao reconnected with Meng Sizhao by the way. The reason is, "For the sake of chivalry and commitment, you will stick to it with your life." A film describing the children of Jianghu is actually full of the Spring Festival Gala-like red and professional temperament, which is really difficult for Director Yuan. I won't mention the grooves in the story one by one. The villain is too weak and there is no one. The male second listens to the female second and changes his mind. Will this turn be too fast, well, the hero is sad for the beauty pass... But thanks to you The handsome face of the second male made me finish watching this movie. Unfortunately, he spent more than half of the time in a cage flirting with the second female... There is a scene in the film that made me travel back to Ang Lee in an instant. "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon". That is, when Yu Xiulian first entered the capital, the camera was pulled from Yu Xiulian, who was riding through the city gate, into the air, and below was the Forbidden City, which was full of severe weather and infinite prosperity. So, all I can do is watch this dog-tailed sequel and miss Ang Lee.
