I've never hated Won Bin, but I really didn't feel anything special about it. He used to be just a handsome and sunny big boy in my eyes, not quite my opinion. In my impression, the actors I was more obsessed with at that time were Ewan McGregor, Edward Norton, Zhang Zhen from the Chinese film industry, and Korean actors like Choi Min-sik.
Therefore, when I knew that Han's annual vote "Uncle" was starring Yuan Bin, I directly made up a handsome and pretentious film and ignored it. Thinking about who I was at that time now, I was a complete pretender.
A few days ago, a male friend suddenly recommended "Uncle" to me. The recommendation word was: Strongly recommended, this is called a handsome! I'm curious, a man said that Won Bin's movie is very handsome? In my opinion, men rarely compliment men who are better looking.
So go see. After watching it for 20 minutes, I couldn't help it, so I sent a WeChat message to the male friend: Too much drama... Won Bin is so handsome that I can't devote myself to watching movies!
This is the truth. I have always felt that I still pay a lot of attention to the movie, the story itself, the performances of the actors, the lines, the editing, etc. Generally speaking, I am a very serious moviegoer. But just like me, I was staring at him up and down by Marshal Marshal, all kinds of distractions, all kinds of deer bumping around.
The fierce fighting style in the film is really good, starting from the scene where Won Bin uses his wallet to hide the knife, and this style continues to the end. Not fancy but very enjoyable. I think it's a good story, but the most eye-catching is definitely Won Bin and the action scenes. I have to say that every scene of Yuan Bin is amazing. This is probably the first time I watched it.
Then watch it a second, three, four, five times, start to pay attention to some details, and try to spend more energy on understanding this person and this event.
-------------------------------The following begins to spoil the crazy --------------- ------------
Let's talk about the understanding of the man first. After experiencing the loss of his wife and children, he has been punishing himself. He was slumped and down, but it was not circumstances that forced him to do so, but he himself wanted to let himself down like this.
why? Because in his eyes, his wife and unborn child died for him, and the killer was a foe he had forged at work. This secret agent has great skills and great achievements, but fails to keep the people he most wants to protect. So he wants to spend the rest of his life in self-punishment, and being happy for him is both a luxury and a sin. He closed his heart and no longer had close contact with anyone because he thought he was just a weakling who couldn't protect those he cherished.
Regarding his non-contact with others, there is actually another layer that I think also needs to be considered, which is his former occupation. I think some people who retire from the national security service are not happy to see him go to and fro.
Xiaomi is an exception. Let's talk about why Xiaomi can become this exception. Some people questioned why the uncle would go beyond the normal acceptance of Xiaomi to "interrupt" his life. The film did not directly explain this point. The relationship between the uncle and Xiaomi was already very special at the beginning of the film, which will be discussed later. Regarding the formation of the relationship between the two, I understand this: this question must be viewed from both the uncle and Xiaomi. The uncle's self-isolation is out of self-blame, hating himself rather than hating others. He will not take the initiative to approach others. When others approach him, he will control the relationship outside the line, even with Xiaomi; and Xiaomi is that. The type of stalker, but she would be so enthusiastic about such a cold uncle, and objectively she was helpless. Because others regarded her as a thief and looked down on her, her mother was a poisonous insect and her love for her was limited. To her, although the uncle is very indifferent, at least he will not make her feel inferior. The uncle's indifferent listening and sometimes indifferent dialogue are already very precious to her. If it is a child from a normal family, it is estimated that he will not have a second conversation with his uncle once. Going back to the uncle, it can be seen from his later performance that he is actually a person with a sense of justice and sympathy, especially for a child like Xiaomi. It's just that the cage he set for himself prevents him from doing anything for their relationship. Since his indifferent face and cold words could not scare Xiaomi away, he just let it go. I believe he might have resentment at first, but even if he did, he resented the insecurity of someone trying to break the relationship, not Xiaomi himself. After a long time, Xiaomi has become the only person who still has a strong demand for him, and has become the only channel for him to feel the breath of life. Two people who were down and down for their own reasons just held a good impression of each other and communicated not far or near.
The first scene between Uncle and Xiaomi basically revealed the unusual relationship between them.
It was at the door of the uncle's pawnshop. After Xiaomi pawned the MP3, he turned around and left. The uncle actually wanted to leave Xiaomi to eat sausages, so he found fault and called Xiaomi back. At the same time, he quietly moved the sausage to the middle of the table. Sure enough, when Xiaomi came back and saw the sausage, he stayed to have lunch with his uncle. This is a very loving little detail, and it also shows that Xiaomi has an unusual position in the uncle's heart.
However, even though Xiaomi is very special to the uncle, the uncle did not cross the prison he set for him to associate with her. His attitude towards Xiaomi is very light warmth and restraint. This kind of restraint may be just a continuation of his usual state in normal times, but when Xiaomi wants him to rescue himself from the police as a father, this restraint can already be said to be his subjective intention.
This scene is a key turning point in the relationship between the two, and it is also a major turning point in the change in the uncle's heart. The uncle was actually very concerned when he saw that Xiaomi was being harassed by a mother and son. He watched the development of the situation for a long time. However, when Xiaomi wanted him to stand up, he pretended not to know Xiaomi and turned away. There is no sense of justice and compassion in sight, and at this moment he is showing indifference. He restrained himself because he couldn't act to cross that line, or he didn't allow himself to establish an intimate connection with others through this kind of behavior, not to mention that during the day, he had just gone to pay homage to his wife. It all reminded him that he didn't deserve it.
He also tried to make up for it, went to the stationery store to talk to Xiaomi, and chased Xiaomi to a small street. Xiaomi felt that the uncle also thought she was ashamed like everyone else, so he pretended not to know her, but compared to the child who scolded her as a beggar, she felt that the uncle was worse. Here I would like to add a little bit about this poor child, Xiaomi. I think there are two reasons for her stealing. One is to steal some things that cannot be bought at home to make herself look like other classmates; the other is to attract attention, because there is usually no one Caring. If it weren't for this, how could the uncle's indifferent attitude be replaced by others? So, even so, she still won't hate the uncle, because if even the uncle hates it, she really has no one to like it.
In fact, she didn't know that at that time, the uncle didn't pretend to not know her because he felt ashamed of her, and the uncle wanted to explain but he didn't say it after all. He watched Xiaomi's back go away, and didn't catch up. After all, there was still a chance to remedy everything.
But one thing that could have been slowly made clear to Xiaomi, and one thing that could have been resolved by inviting Xiaomi to eat a few more sausages, suddenly became slim because Xiaomi was involved in the drug incident.
Suddenly, the person he cared about was in danger again, suddenly a pain that could no longer be undone, and suddenly the person he cherished was going to die because of his powerlessness.
How could he let this happen a second time? He will never allow this to happen a second time! He was going to risk his life to protect this man. This is not only to save Xiaomi, but also a kind of redemption for himself. So, he exploded.
That's why, when he went through all kinds of hardships, almost lost his life several times, killed everyone, but still couldn't save Xiaomi, he could only kneel on the ground powerlessly, ready to shoot himself. Because his last attempt in life also failed. He was still the powerless weakling. After so many regrets and struggles, after so many Shura killings, he still hasn't changed anything. Just closing the door of my heart can no longer resolve the pain of loss and hatred for myself.
"Uncle..." Thank goodness, Xiaomi came out. He told Xiaomi not to get close, he didn't want the dirty blood on his body to contaminate the pure Xiaomi. However, Xiaomi still burst into tears.
At the end, he went into the stationery store and crazily stuffed all kinds of stationery into a new schoolbag. He was making up for the past, and he was also doing things that he might not be able to do in the future.
He smiled at Xiaomi. He finally protected the people he cherished, finally could no longer punish himself, and finally, like the young agent many years ago, had the courage to say to the people he cherished: Hug!
Although he knew that this might be the last time, the only time.
Suddenly I thought of Faye Wong's "eyes on me": darling so there you are/with that look on your face/as if you're never hurt/as if you're never down... Although today's smiles and tears are vicissitudes .
At the end of the film, the uncle's ending is not explained, but at this moment, no matter whether his body will be restrained or not, his heart has been freed again. Uncle's wife and children in heaven can finally laugh.
Postscript: Actually, it is also about the film and Won Bin, but the main text was written when the emotions were full, so I will write these later.
Regarding the film, I actually think there is still a weakness, that is, the processing of lines. For example, the last scene between Xiaomi and the uncle can be said to be the most emotional part of the whole film. I always feel that the lines can be more refined. The emotion and character of this film, which has been criticized a lot, is not enough, but I think it's okay. Of course, watching movies is a very personal thing, and there is no uniform standard. In terms of my habits, what I don't quite accept is that the logic is unreasonable and unreasonable. Therefore, although not all the plots are explained in "Uncle", at least through the front and back, I can understand the causal relationship, and this causal relationship is very smooth, so I don't feel that the foundation is not enough.
But the film really can't take care of everyone's feelings. The missing part can only be experienced by the audience according to their own understanding of life and people, but each person's experience is different, whether they can automatically make up the success at the same point, or some audience's life experience gave him the opposite. The feelings and conclusions are unknown. However, if the explanation is excessive, it will make the film less space for the audience or even cause the structure to be unbalanced, dull and tedious. But it's up to the filmmakers to figure it out!
In addition, this film made me deeply realize how difficult it is for a person with the face of an idol to take on the role of acting. Aside from some movies' requirements for the characters themselves to look ordinary, being handsome like this is really too easy to distract people... When I first watched this film, it was just like Yuan Bin's nympho and nympho all the way. anthomaniac. For a while he sighed at his handsome face, for a while he took a deep breath while looking at his long legs, and for a while he grabbed his chest and shouted at his handsome movements: FUCK, FUCK! I couldn't bear to watch that scene myself...
Of course, the state was still the same after watching it a few times, but now when I think of Won Bin's uncle, I not only think he is handsome, but also feel more deeply loved and distressed (you are enough).
Gone.
