The story is adapted from Irish folklore. A happy family of three is about to usher in their fourth life. Unfortunately, the birth of the daughter took her mother away. The father, Shen, was in pain of losing his wife. The son hated his sister because he lost his mother. To return to the sea from the city where grandma lives, because of her sister's identity as a seal girl, a series of magical stories begin. At the end, the little seal girl gave up following her mother to the fairyland, and chose to stay with her father and brother, being an ordinary little girl. Love made her willing to stay in the world.
In addition to the delicate emotional expression and beautiful hand-painted pictures, the most outstanding part of the film is the beautiful singing voice of the little seal girl. The simple melody is unbelievably beautiful, and in the beautiful singing, everyone has been redeemed. This is really the most beautiful animation I've ever seen. It's like a dream, warm and with a touch of sadness. It's a really excellent work of art!
