A film about youth, friendship, class, ambition, failure and redemption, from Noah Baumbach's contemporary version of Manhattan. The director, who has directed "The Squid and the Whale," "Margot at the Wedding," and "Greenberg," is known for his portrayal of the lifestyle and spiritual plight of middle-class intellectuals. Actress Greta Gerwig could be called his "muse", always playing awkward and lovable women who make one's guard down. The film's heroine, Frances, is a dancer who earns a living by teaching people dance lessons. Like someone of her age, Frances worked hard toward her dream and got nowhere. So far, her greatest achievement in life has been a close friend, Sophie—a serious-looking, caustic girl who has a powerful chemistry with Frances' joking personality, and the two Very close. They commented on their lives like a pair of Dorothy Parker (1893-1967, an American poet whose writings often bluntly satirized the weakness of contemporary American character), such as "This apartment is very self-aware. "(when Sophie came to Frances' new home). Occasionally, though, they admit it—they look like a lesbian couple who no longer have sex. In this state of life, Frances slowly opened her heart to a man, but there were still some basic principles between them that needed to be resolved. At the end of the day, what Frances would most like to do is dance.

If you have ever lived awkwardly and sincerely in the world’s most snobbish city without chasing fame and fortune, this film will definitely impress you. More importantly, we all survived like Frances, and we all survived like Frances, and like her mailbox at the end. Like the name on it, it retains an important part of itself...
