The DreamWorks animation masterpiece "Kung Fu Panda 3", which is most closely related to my dynasty, will be officially released tomorrow. Because of my love for this series, I went to see the theater early on the 23rd. As a sequel to the well-known animated film series produced by the world's top animation factory, "Kung Fu Panda 3" is naturally technically flawless. With good intentions, the level of animation films I have reached is simply unmatched.
Because it is technically flawless, Kung Fu Panda 3 naturally draws more attention to the plot. In fact, the first animated film in the series of "Kung Fu Panda" is a blockbuster, whether it is a picture with a strong national flavor and oriental Zen, or an inspirational story about the success of a small fan's counterattack, Kung Fu Panda's first From the perspective of a Chinese person, this is a very successful and touching work. However, the ensuing second part always gives people the feeling of going astray. The entire second part of the story focuses on the battle with the incomparably powerful hot weapons. Originally, the subject matter of kung fu is of a very imaginative nature. With the addition of real things like hot weapons, we finally managed to win with kung fu. The ending of the hot weapon always seems ridiculous. Especially the scene in which A Bao catches the cannonball by playing Tai Chi with his bare hands, there is always a kind of saying in the undefeated East, you have science, I have the comic effect of magic. Moreover, the whole second part of the story is also out of the first part's core of self-discovery and self-growth. The only useful plot is to explain the reason why the panda village was exterminated. To sum up, I still don't like the second part very much. Although the box office of "Kung Fu Panda 2" is still booming, the top animation studios in the industry have this kind of victory, and they still reflect on their own bearing when they succeed. The production team also discovered the deviation of the story line in 2 when they started the script of Kung Fu Panda 3, so in the story of "Kung Fu Panda 3", all you can see is a full and kind return.
The main plot of "Kung Fu Panda 3" is that Turtle's former comrade-in-arms Tian Sha (it sounds like Kai in English, I don't know why it is translated as Tian Sha in Chinese) rushed out of the spiritual world and turned all Kung Fu masters in China into jade. After learning Qigong to defeat Tiansha, he returned to Panda Village with his father who reunited with him. Finally, with the help of everyone, he successfully learned the story of Qigong to defeat Tiansha.
First of all, the first highlight is the return of the master turtle, which symbolizes Eastern wisdom and Zen philosophy in the first part. Although there are not many master turtle scenes in the first part, it is definitely an unforgettable role. The tortoise is Po's Bole, without the tortoise there would be no Po. In the first part, when everyone, including Po himself, doubted that he could not become a Dragon Warrior, the turtles were responsible for enlightening Po and Master Raccoon. The turtle is the embodiment of wisdom in the story. The raccoon cultivated Po, but it was the turtle who inspired the raccoon. The turtle has always represented the core idea of the story, which is to believe in yourself and discover your own abilities. In particular, one of my favorite episodes in "Kung Fu Panda 1" is the scene where the turtle is on the edge of the cliff under the moonlight, accompanied by the emergence of peach trees full of trees. The peach tree is a tree with divine power in my country's traditional religious culture. The first film was produced by a pure Hollywood team, and it was really amazing for a long time to think of such a scene with such a profound national style. If you like the master turtle and the super dazzling peach blossom special effects that he comes with as much as I do, then "Kung Fu Panda 3" will definitely satisfy you with this alone. And the turtle is also a satisfactory explanation in this part of the historical legacy of why he chose A Bao to be the dragon hero.
Secondly, the plot before and after "Kung Fu Panda 3" is very carefully connected. The first half of the film mainly tells the story of Bao and his father meeting and returning to the Panda Village. The second half is a story that explores the meaning of self-existence, that is, who I am. It is precisely because A Bao returned to his place of origin, returned to his own ethnic group, found his own belonging, and solved the problem of where I came from, that he was able to sublimate to the level of positioning himself. The core design of the two stories before and after is still very careful. In the process of watching, I have been curious how the screenwriter will solve the problem of defeating the big boss. I thought that after all, everyone knew that Po would definitely defeat the final boss, but the question was how Po would learn the unique secrets of Qigong, which is the biggest point to watch. Generally, the way we watch martial arts films is that we have discovered a martial arts cheat book or a routine such as a mysterious expert appearing to teach, but the foreigner's thinking in "Kung Fu Panda 3" is quite unexpected. The screenwriter did not concretize the matter of learning qigong, but placed it on the positioning of self between A Bao and everyone. It's two different things, and the screenwriter's positioning of qi is also very humanistic. In the end, when everyone reached out and said who they were, the scene was still a bit touching.
Another major return of the plot is to highlight each person's personality and emphasize their own strengths. In the first part, the way the raccoon cultivated Po is to use Po's gluttonous personality to make him a unique dragon hero, especially the very symbolic setting of the blank dragon scroll, which expresses his transcendence. It's all about discovering that unique self. "Kung Fu Panda 3" also fully returns to this concept of the plot. Po did not think of this concept when he taught the five heroes in the early stage, so he taught the five heroes in a mess, but came to the panda village to teach all the pandas to defend against the enemy At that time, Bao also finally enlightened himself, and integrated the concept of teaching students according to their aptitude into his teaching, and the effect was naturally very good. At this time, Bao became the incarnation of the raccoon master in the first book.
Of course, the biggest highlight is that the Dragon Warrior, whom everyone has been thinking about for a long time, finally appeared. In "Kung Fu Panda 3", in order to let the turtle return, the concept of the spiritual world was introduced. In the final battle of the spiritual world, the picture of Shenlong's appearance is very elegant and beautiful, and people can't help but sigh, as expected, it is still a good-looking Chinese dragon, although it only has an outline.
However, after watching the film, I was also a little worried about some aspects, such as the introduction of the supernatural existence of the spiritual world. I don’t know how to deal with it in the future, because the supernatural and kung fu are still two elements that are a bit different, and if they are not handled properly, it will destroy the core of kung fu . Also, since the rise of A Bao, the existence of the little raccoon master has become weaker than the last. Ask the production team to use more snacks on Master Raccoon. And the plot rhythm of this one is also a bit too fast, lacking the relaxed rhythm of the first one. The ability of the big boss in this episode should be the most powerful among the three, but the effect is not very good, far less brilliant than the first snow leopard.
In short, "Kung Fu Panda 3" is a very good-looking animated film, especially this one is said to be co-produced by Oriental DreamWorks, so this one is the most Chinese Kung Fu Panda, although "Kung Fu Panda" The series is a Hollywood animation film with a strong Chinese flavor. In addition to the technology and graphics, "Kung Fu Panda 3" reminds us the most that a Chinese animation made by a foreigner is more Chinese than our own. Although there are also several traditional special effects movies this year, but Unfortunately, they are all Hollywood knockoffs, without Chinese flavor (some even have yellow jokes).
Kung Fu Panda 3 is an animation suitable for all ages. It is interesting and has ideas. Adults and children will like it. Especially, it has specially made Chinese mouth shapes for the Chinese version, which is really sincere. The 3D effect of this film is very good, but there are elegant spirit world and peach blossoms. I recommend watching the imax version with conditions.
