War and Peace episode review

About Russian costume dramas, I probably only remember Anna Karenina, who was directed by Joe White recently. This time, the BBC has remade this drama again. I am delighted that I can also see through the eyes of the British (the excellent British dramas). Characters from the great era in Stai's pen. The first episode is still fresh after watching a lot of British period dramas. After all, it still describes Russian society. The TV series can remove the rubbish and save the essence, and focus on the image narrative without the original text. mode. Because of the complexity of the characters in this book, the opening sequence uses a long shot to introduce each of the main characters in the same gathering space. The first episode is mainly to lay out the relationship and character of each character, and build a small microcosm of the upper class society in Russia in the early 19th century based on the friends, relatives, lovers, etc. of Pierre, the illegitimate son of a nobleman. People are not quite independent individuals, and every event and action is accompanied by an inevitable influence. Relationships, inheritance, marriage, social interaction, and, of course, war.

Of course, our main characters are all mavericks, at least not so comfortable with the status quo. How will they collide with this system, or grow up under this system, and find their own belonging, I am looking forward to it.
