Pour into the soul, abandon distractions

I stumbled across this movie during my lunch break, and briefly write down my impressions after watching it. The essence of it is that the girl follows the Japanese teacher to learn ramen. Although she has mastered the necessary essentials, she always feels that something is missing without the infusion of soul. Just like what we do, participate in activities, study and work, maybe self I feel that there is nothing wrong with the method of doing it, but it has not yet achieved the desired effect. Perhaps what is lacking is the so-called investment of the soul and abandoning distracting thoughts.
The scene that moved me was: in Japan, where the hierarchy is very clear, the teacher and father who was cold on the outside and hot on the inside started to teach and reprimand American girls who didn't understand Japanese unabashedly. Unexpectedly, the girl's persistence also made him look at the girl differently. He rummaged through the Japanese-English dictionary that he had thrown into the trash before and brought by the girl, found "success", and said to the girl in English "You are. my success". As long as you persevere and pour your soul into anything, you will be successful and moved.

  • Abby: I don't know anything about love. Every time I feel it, it's gone, it disappears and all I have left is pain and sadness.
