Mr.Peanut butter: Um, do you wanna talk about what happened?
Diane: What happened? No, I don't wanna talk about what happened, I just wanna clean up.
Mr.Peanut butter: Okay. Why? What do you think happened? I just...
Diane: Because what I think happened is that BoJack's girlfriend asked what Tony Curtis was up to and I said, "Tony Curtis died." And you said, "Did he?" Right, but... And I said, "Yes, he did." And you said, "Really? I'm not sure about that." Yeah... And I said, "Well, I am." And you said, "I'm not so sure." And I said, "I'm telling you, Tony Curtis is dead." And you said, "Let's check the Internet." And I said, "We don't need to check the Internet, I'm telling you he's dead." And you said, "Let's just check though." Is that what you think happened? So, do you wanna talk about it? It kind of feels like you wanna talk about it. I don't understand why you couldn't just believe that I know something.
Mr. Peanut butter: I believe you know lots of things. I just thought, what's the harm in checking? Especially since we have these amazing little boxes now with 24-hour access to the world's largest source of information.
Diane: You shouldn' t have to check if your wife knows what she's talking about. You humiliated me in front of all my friends.
One of the things we often argue about after moving in with your boyfriend is: "Why do you always question me?" If I were you Girlfriend/the person you like/the first person to sleep with you/the mother of your future child/your life partner/the person you spend your life with...then why can't you believe me when I say "you parked your car in our It's on the right"/"The laundry ball can be placed directly in the washing machine"/"The highest IELTS score is 9"?
So at this time, like me, you may be Diane who can't stand her boyfriend's questioning, or you may be like my boyfriend, who is dedicated to throwing a birthday party for his girlfriend but somehow makes her angry, and you don't know how to be a good Mr.Peanut Butter.
After watching it for a long time, you may find that everyone in this drama is you/people around you, including the workaholic manager Cat Princess Carolyn, including the outdated actor Ma Bojack who hates and hates herself for not knowing how to be happy, including the childlike The same useless Todd who sleeps on the sofa and does nothing, even the addict Saray Lynn.
So you see Princess Carolyn, always stinky and annoying, in season 1 yet again hopeful and emotionally frustrated Bojack goes out on a date and suddenly gets dumped, all by herself looking in the mirror and saying "kick it up" When you think of yourself, you feel sorry for Princess Carolyn and you feel sorry for yourself.
So when you saw Bojack, who had just been affectionate, suddenly woke up and confessed to Princess Carolyn, "I don't love you, we are just two people who hate ourselves hugging each other for warmth...I want to be alone for a while" You thought of yourself, You want to hate him but you can't, because what he says is what you want to say in your heart.
So you see Diane, who was always cool and soft, get mad at her bad family and later confessed to Bojack that "the ironic thing is...even then I still want them to think I'm good and want them to admit my efforts" , you think about yourself, you think about the home you finally escaped but couldn't really escape, and the home you wanted to escape from as soon as you started building it.
So you see Bojack's bad parents, the one who said grimly to his son, "You don't punish you for stealing, punish you for smoking, punish you for living." / "You think you're an actor? You're just a The clown." mother, and Bojack's words to comfort the female director: "I have seen bad parents, you must not be one of them..." When you think to yourself, are your parents bad enough? Will your children be lucky? The
female director told Diane that Bojack became famous in the 1990s, so he won't become mature anymore. When a star becomes famous, he is shaped when he is famous. The same is true for ordinary people. You meet someone who can tolerate All of you, you will no longer encounter challenges, and you will no longer want to challenge yourself, and then you will no longer grow. You will think about yourself again, when did you think you were stereotyped, when did you start to hate yourself in the mirror, and when?
It's not a comedy at all so you can't laugh, it's not a tragedy at all so even if you want to cry there is no loose plot gap and background music to make you cry, Bojack said on the set that I never cry in front of people, I went out with a cigarette and the tears flowed The camera on one face will start playing background music on a black screen within five seconds.
"...Back in the 90s I was in a very famous TV show..."
Wake up, Bojack and Mr.Peanut Butter have a lot of money, shadow writer Diane has several best-selling books, Princess Carolyn's career is booming, In real life someone like that wouldn't look you right in the eye, you're not Bojack, not Todd, not Diane, not Carolyn, you're you, no real self is locked in your heart, your heart is as empty as your brain Empty, Bojack's story is not a story of a group of lonely people, the lonely person is you, Bojack always has Todd/Princess Carolyn, Diane always has Mr.Peanut Butter, the people in the story are always together. A warm-hearted / bitter and hated / positive film review is not suitable here at all. People who can see a little sunshine after watching such a self-loathing/world-weary animation are definitely not in a world with me. You thought you had a lot of sympathy with Bojack, but you just heard too much from the writer/director/production team.
By the way, at least they have an animated series with high ratings and high ratings.
Loser, I'm talking about you.
