But it was basically a joke when it came out 10 years ago. I didn't watch it then, but I watch it now. Fortunately, I didn't watch it then.
Pure waste of time. Whether it is the production team or the audience.
In addition to the ugly eyebrows, the still handsome Farrell, and the still airport Keira Knightley, this film only has an excellent soundtrack. You talk about the plot, you can forget the plot, anyway, you can't remember it after the meeting. The movie was disappointing from the beginning until the end. Well, the ending is pretty decent.
But can you believe this movie is from the screenwriter of The Departed? Was the golden statue from William Monaghan's house stolen or what? Farrell and Knightley's love scene seems weightless, or even justifiable, so random it's inconceivable. And the way the gang leader threatened Pharrell, the way of communication and persecution seemed so inexplicable. There is no powerful dialogue, no emotional rendering, or even a climax of catharsis. Don't tell me it's magical in the bland. This is utterly unremarkable in the bland. There are also beggars and Jordan, William Monaghan never tells us what the relationship between these two men and heroines is. Why did Farrell stand up for beggars (because he was a cellmate?) and why did Knightley live with David Thewlis? This drama is full of inexplicable plots from beginning to end, and I can only believe that the golden man in the director's house was stolen.
The only highlight of the film is its soundtrack. Although the film was drowsy, it didn't stop me halfway through, presumably because of its soundtrack. It's easy to bring people in, although you know, you don't. A movie with such a cast and crew, but the only bright spot is the soundtrack, which is sad enough.
[Tucao, Thewlis has a line "She would be the sexiest woman in Europe, if it weren't for Monica Bellucci." Well, think about Knightley and Bellucci's body, are u kidding me ? 】
