I only read the book

I remember it was a book I read in the sixth grade of elementary school. I remember it was a book I was addicted to. It was as if my whole person was immersed in the book. I subscribed to the book at that time. The stories behind each issue, the most looking forward to each time is to subscribe. The book came hurriedly until the story was finished. In my impression, the locked secret garden has been in the spring since it was opened by Mary. It doesn't have to be so confused all year round. I can't remember the storyline. It feels like reading a book. The kind of imaginary garden I also feel that after reading this book, the second story is "Alice in Wonderland". These two stories are more beautiful books than "Grimm's Fairy Tales".

Favorite novel. I finally waited for this version to be shown on TV again. The scenery and small animals are so beautiful, the girl is not beautiful but she is stubborn, the bad-tempered young master is quite appropriate, and the commoner brother seems to be a little too stocky. Mom is Irene Jacob, surprised!

Agnieszka Holland went to America for the first time (how many bad American dramas she did later!). The photography is not bad, with a strong continental taste. However, I watched this film purely because I liked Preschner's original soundtrack (there is no ending song in the original soundtrack! Linda Ronstadt's winter light, great).

The Secret Garden quotes

  • Martha: I've got a present for you. Me mother sent it over.

[She hands Mary a skipping rope]

    Mary: What's it for?

Martha: You've got tigers and elephants in India, but have you not got skipping ropes?

  • Mary: [pointing to a swing] Look, there's a picture of my mother and my aunt sitting here.

Dickon: They say that's how she died.

    Mary: My aunt? How?

    Dickon: Falling off it.
