The content of the movie is very simple. Because the little man failed to sound the alarm at a critical moment, all his clansmen were kidnapped by the big boss. As the only one who was not kidnapped, he was entrusted with the important task of rescuing his family and embarked on a journey. On the way, he met a wretched little fat man, a female man who couldn't marry, and a charming little gay (isn't it a little gay...(⊙o⊙)...). As a result, of course, the little man defeated the big boss with the help of his partner and rescued the clan.
I don't think this movie is about a weak person who steps out after some kind of incentive or stimulation, and then becomes a big hero who saves a famous family.
The exciting moments you see in Hollywood movies where the weak turn into the strong are not there. The little guy in the movie has no self-motivation, nor does his buddies inspire him to be brave enough to take on heavy responsibilities. The little guys I see are negative rather than positive about the fact that they have to save their clan. The only two times the little man expressed his thoughts, once was when he told the little fat man that he was going to escape from the country of his daughter to save the female man, and the other time was when he told the clan that he would not run away again. You think that there will be a fierce and long-lasting battle between the little man and the big boss. In fact, the entire film is 89 minutes long, and the battle is only a short four or five minutes, and the fighting scenes are not so exciting and exciting.
If I say why I don't think this movie is a counterattack of the little man, it's probably because the protagonist's inner drama in this movie is very little, almost none. I guess, what the director wants to express should not be that a weak person will finally take up his burden and grow into a hero or a leader one day.
Instead, the negative face of the little man, or the preoccupied face, runs through the film.
If I had to imagine what the director wanted to convey, I thought this movie described the life of an ordinary little man. A small man is a small man after all. He may meet all kinds of people on the journey, create different sparks, and occasionally cheer up and do something impressive, but he is still a small man and will not change. Become a big hero.
