Humans cut down forests, built high-rise buildings, and destroyed the homes of civet cats. The civet cats resisted, and at first they turned into human beings (some civet cats can become human) and grimaced to scare humans, but they failed to stop humans from building high-rise buildings. Then the conflict escalated, some civet cats and humans had a head-to-head confrontation, but it still ended in failure, and the casualties were heavy. In the end, the tanukis almost gave up, but still decided to give it a go - using the power of the tanuki to turn the surrounding environment into its original form (illusion). Although it failed to prevent the industrial civilization from encroaching on the forest, civet cats and humans began to coexist peacefully, tolerate each other's existence, and live together on this land: some civet cats become humans and live with humans, and some civet cats that cannot become humans still live in the only forest. At the end of the film, the civet cat asks everyone: Humans mistakenly think that the civet cat has become extinct. In fact, the civet cat has become a human and lives with humans, but what about the rabbits and squirrels that cannot become humans? Will they go extinct?
It can only be said that the theme is not bad, but the style of painting is not very porridge. The movie about 2h, which I watched in two parts, was not very attractive to me.
