Let's play a game called hide and seek

There are many movies about schizophrenia. This hide-and-seek score is not particularly high, but the way it uses hide-and-seek to express schizophrenia is very clever and reasonable. First of all, multiple personalities in schizophrenia generally do not appear at the same time. There is no relationship between personalities, and they are completely different "individuals". The existence of multiple personalities is abnormal, so the redundant personalities must be found and eliminated. Much like the hide-and-seek game of hide-and-seek, only it's mental. It's not so much because the little girl likes to hide and seek, it's more about finding and hiding between the two personalities of the little girl and her father.

Back in the movie, everyone said that at a glance, the male protagonist was the murderer himself. I don't think the point of a suspense movie is that you finally find out who the murderer is? Some movies don't even reveal who the killer is from beginning to end but the movies themselves are excellent. Feel the development of the plot, feel the interaction between the characters, and feel the lines in the movie that make you remember deeply.

What moved me in this film was the sentence the male protagonist's wife said before his death: Some things can never be cured. Of course, the director set a trap to make us mistakenly believe that the wife committed suicide because of depression or an incurable disease. But looking at the whole film, this sentence is enough to awaken the horror of mental illness. Whether schizophrenia can be completely cured in reality, I don't know, and I haven't studied it. The reason why the male protagonist has schizophrenia in the movie is stimulated by his wife's derailment. This kind of injury is incurable, and it caused disaster. After the truth is revealed, returning to this sentence can be understood as the meaning of the wife: this marriage is incurable. This stimulation deepened the male lead's resentment.

After the film is in the middle, I am not sure whether the murderer is the male protagonist, because of the performance of the little girl, I think it should be another person. The little girl is so skilled in coping with the two personalities of her father. Can she really understand that these are two completely different personalities of one person? In any case, she joins the split personality game, taking one step at a time. Although he escaped safely in the end, he developed schizophrenia. Yet another terrifying start.

The game of hide and seek is also quite common in horror film material, because it is both fun and scary. Terrible things are hidden in the search. The spirit of each of us hides a lot of things that we think we have forgotten or can't let the second person know. Some are quite dark. I believe that everyone has many sides, but they will not form another personality. Environmental stimuli can trigger dormant memories or instincts or hidden disorders. Another personality of the dad in the movie is his original dark side, but morbidly aroused. Besides, isn't our life also full of games of hide and seek? The husband who hides the mistress and the wife who tries to catch the rape, the student who hides the cheat sheet and the teacher who looks for cheating, the prisoner who hides the evidence and the police who searches the evidence... We all want to find the hidden truth, but the truth is, you may never Can't find it. Or if found, it will hurt even more.

It can touch the heart and trigger thinking about the real world. This is my yardstick for evaluating a good movie. From this point of view. I think it's a good movie.
