plunge yourself into eternal tragedy

This movie has to be carefully understood. Various objects (such as clocks and watches) suggest that the music implies that the heroine died in the car accident at the beginning. The movie version of The Curse of Sisyphus, one is punished from the foot of the mountain like a mountain-leg boulder that rolls off when pushed to the top, and so on forever. One is because he knew he was dead, but because he couldn't forgive the fact that he killed his son in a car accident, he let himself run in a cycle forever and live in repentance and self-blame. Thriller at first glance, think about it carefully, tragedy in tragedy.

Triangle quotes

  • Victor: [pointing at a picture of the ship] Check it out. This is the same ship. This thing's old.

Downey: Yeah, 1932. It is the same. Here's where we boarded.

Victor: [reads name of the ship] Aeolus.

Downey: Aeolus. Aeolus was the Greek god of the winds and the father of Sisyphus, the man condemned by the gods to the task of pushing a rock up a mountain only to have it roll back down again.

Victor: That's a shitty punishment. What did he do?

Sally: He cheated Death. No, he made a promise to Death that he didn't keep.

  • Driver: Are you alright?

    Jess: Who are you?

Driver: I'm just a driver... No point trying to save the boy, there's nothing anyone can do to bring him back. So... Can I give you a ride?

Jess: Yes. Take me to the harbor.
