High school student Sutter (Miles Teller) is illiterate, loves to pick up girls and drink, and his classmates treat him as a joke. After his girlfriend Cassidy dumped him with the student council president, he not only drank a lot, he also drove drunk and woke up in the morning to find himself lying on Aimee's lawn. Aimee (Shailene Woodley) is different from Sutter. She is a girl who is serious about reading. She lives with her mother and stepfather. She loves reading science fiction and has never had a boyfriend. The two who were originally unable to fight with each other had a strange intersection. Sutter asked Aimee to help her with her math lessons, and Aimee readily agreed. The feelings of the two people quickly warmed up, and they shared each other's youth together. However, with graduation soon, Aimee will go to Philadelphia to study; the two young people also have their own family problems. How will they go to tomorrow?
