The growth of young Americans

This has nothing to do with "The Fault in the Stars", the fault of the stars is about love and life, this one is about the growth of young people, and the title of the film is really to sum up: me and Earl and checkmate girl, nothing else. Even the cancer that associates it with Xing Wrong is actually just a label and an introduction. Cancer and death themselves are not the focus of this film.
This is the story of one or several young American youths. They were sensitive and rebellious, arrogant and naive in their adolescence. How the little human beings in the establishment of the Three Views manage the relationship between people in a group and build their true self. It's a big subject. The young Chinese people at the same stage basically just read and read and then read again. Greg, a slightly arrogant and intelligent young man, completed this growth process through the process of communicating with a girl who has terminal cancer and will soon be living.
Greg's arrogance should be the director's scheming to make fans laugh at heart. These funny adaptation titles and scenes really made me laugh to death. Although I haven't seen them all, as an early fan, I can already find them. A little laugh, so fans at all levels can resonate a little and be happy.
