Suffragette

The most powerful appeal of a movie is not how beautiful the pictures are or how touching the story is. For me, the most perfect film is what I want to do after watching it, for a better me and a better world.
In fact, I have always been against feminism, because there is no shortage of "female chauvinism" among those who cry out for equality. This is too much of a thing, I would have chosen not to be too late.
But this movie really changed my narrow view. Among the many shouts, there are so many, thousands of people who are really fighting for equality. In order that their efforts will not go to waste, that their ideals will be realized, and that their tragic experiences will not be repeated, I defend women's rights.

If you are a woman, you have to watch this movie because you will realize how fortunate you are and utilize the rights you have and fight for others'; if you are a man, you have to watch this film also, because it will change the way you view women: not only the beauty on the surface but also the wisdom and strength they have within.
It has been a long since I saw such a powerful, appealing and impacting piece like this. I could say it makes me think and rethink and I would love to share that with you.
The world is unbelievably beautiful and gorgeous; we have the right and duty to make sure everyone sees the way we do.

Suffragette quotes

  • Emmeline Pankhurst: We do not want to be law breakers. We want to be law makers.

  • Inspector Arthur Steed: The fear is, they won't break, Sir. If one of them dies, we'll have blood on our hands and they'll have their martyr.

Benedict Haughton: That must not happen, or Mrs Pankhurst will have won.
