Because my understanding is relatively poor, I always feel that I still have a lot of things that I don't understand about this movie.

In a part of the movie, the
father told the little boy to have the faith and will to accomplish the impossible task.
The godfather told little boy that the reason why you can accomplish the impossible task is because of your moving belief and will. And doing the good things grows power.
So little boy believed in faith and miracles, and looked forward to the return of his father.
Mixed with the bullying of children of the same age, mixed with how to rely on their own beliefs to win dignity.
So the main thing here is the importance of belief and will? From the perspective of a naive eight-year-old, it tells us that we still need to hold on to hope.

The other part of
the movie is about how little boy understands and accepts that Japanese friend step by step. While accepting Japanese friends, I look forward to my father who was persecuted by the Japanese. He has learned not to take anger. No one is born guilty. Little boy seems to slowly and slowly learn to love and tolerate the world. The atomic bomb called little boy, dressed in the same bloody red as him, stood in the vast ruins, and in the ruins, he dug out his father's name tag. This kind of horror is the horror of war. Being in the midst of war is a tragedy for either side.
Therefore, the movie here again opposes war, and opposes the mutual harm between people.

The theme of the movie is still against war, everyone is equal. Just through the firm belief of a child, it reflects the despair and hope of thousands of people in the war.
People's obsession from beginning to end is peace.

However,
what is the meaning of being called little boy as well?
My brother is also called London, nothing special?
Will little boy grow up in the end?

Thanks for happy ending

Little Boy quotes

  • Pepper Flynt Busbee: I think it was stupid of me to believe that a midget like me could bring my dad back with some stupid list.

Hashimoto: It was not stupid. It takes courage to believe. Your father would be more than proud of you. All the love you have for him was contained in that list.

  • [last lines]

Pepper Flynt Busbee: [upon reuniting with his dad] Partner! I got the boots you really wanted. It's me, partner.

James Busbee: [receives the boy's hug] Partner.
