Marriage in West Germany and the War

Maria is actually a very beautiful but very independent woman. In the fire before the fall of West Germany, she and Hermann only maintained their marriage for one day and one night.
Waiting in agony and hunger, and hearing the news of her husband's death, she finally let go of the burden in her heart and devoted herself to black people. Who's to say this isn't a wise choice? for surviving.
But by accident, Herman did not die. When she came back, she saw her having sex with a black officer. The scene was really silent. The man's piercing heartbreak is all in silence. In the end, Maria chose her husband and accidentally killed the black man. Herman took responsibility for this and went to prison.
Afterwards, Maria attracted Oswald, the owner of the factory, for a better life after her husband was released from prison in her heart, and had a wealth of property. Eventually Os died and her husband returned. After learning of Os's will, Maria realized that her marriage had long since vanished. In the end, the gas was lit in a trance, and the two returned to dust.
The contradiction between the soul and the body is so far. This kind of tragedy does not only appear in West Germany, but also in the celestial dynasties. Today, with the loss of valueism and spiritual ethics, many people think that they have reached a high level of taste, but they have already betrayed what they consider the most sacred. Please don't say I'm cynical or that I'm not qualified to say these things. I'm just, as a duckweed leaf, swinging while walking.

The Marriage of Maria Braun quotes

  • Karl Oswald: I feel like a schoolboy.

Maria Braun: Because you are. A dear, dumb little schoolboy.

Karl Oswald: Why didn't you want to go?

Maria Braun: You would've proposed to me.

Karl Oswald: Right. Is that why - How did you know?

Maria Braun: I know all about schoolboys.

  • Senkenberg: Your union is talking socialism, Klenze, and I don't like it.

Willi Klenze: We're only paying you back in kind. It's no wonder, the way you play the entrepreneur.

Senkenberg: The secretary of the treasury said...

Willi Klenze: Yeah, "We're all in the same boat." Trouble is, it's your boat, and we have to row it.
