Muay Thai

Thai martial arts films, I personally don't know the history of Thai films. If Tony Jaa had any previous Thai action movie stars, or movie stars in general, I wouldn't know. Or the film industry in Thailand is not so developed. Of course, the Thai films after the new century, such as "The Ghost Wife", "The Lady of the Night", and the action films of Tony Jia's "Fist Fighter" series, have also been heard.
I give this movie four stars. The plot is simple, but the action is not inferior. Even in the eyes of Thais, it almost surpasses the Eastern Hollywood, Hong Kong, which has always been leading the world's action films.
As an objective rating, the film is a four out of four. I personally don't like Muay Thai, I don't like their moves, but this movie deserves 4 stars just for the moves in the movie. It's like saying that I don't like western food, but it doesn't mean that western food is not delicious, it's just that I prefer Chinese food.
For martial arts, it's fine. Action movies also have connotations and ideas. An action can also express an emotion. Of course, Muay Thai also has the emotions it expresses, but we Chinese don't quite understand it. But obviously, our Chinese martial arts are more complex and can express more. To put it simply, Jackie Chan's Drunk Boxing, the Drunk Eight Immortals, is very artistic, just like dance, dragon, snake, tiger, crane, leopard, all kinds of pictographic boxing. In addition, there are many sects, Shaolin, Wudang, Emei, Kongtong, etc. There are also Tai Chi, Wing Chun, Cai Lifo, too many, too many.
Martial arts is not just one-point competition, but more of an art expressed by the body. Chinese martial arts is not a flower boxing embroidery, because Bruce Lee said that if any martial arts is not well practiced, it is a flower boxing and embroidering the legs.
And Muay Thai is just Muay Thai. Maybe Muay Thai may be divided into some sects like us in Thailand, but Thailand is not as big as China, so it is not as complicated as us, and Thailand does not have thousands of years of cultural ideas, I don’t know. Is there a martial arts theory of combining rigidity and softness, or using softness to overcome rigidity? But in this movie, it's almost all violent movements, also called "steel knees and iron elbows". This kind of movie, the action is very good, but I personally prefer our domestic movies.
