Jack The Giant Slayer (2013)

Another movie based on a fairy tale, and I found myself really enjoying this type of movie. The well-known fairy tale is used as the background of the story, looking forward to various unknown changes, and I like to experience this familiar and unfamiliar feeling.

Everyone should have heard the fairy tale of Jack and the Beanstalk. Jack climbed down the vines of the magic beans to the giant's residence, and while the giant was sleeping, he secretly brought the fairy harp and the mother who could lay golden eggs. The chicken brought it back to the ground and cut the vine down.

Of course, Jack the Giant Slayer is an adaptation of the fairy tale. Jack fell in love with the princess Isabelle at first sight. Isabelle fled to escape the political marriage arranged by the king. When Isabelle was sheltering from the rain at Jack's house, the magic beans that fell under Jack's house began to grow rapidly because of the rain, and Isabelle was trapped in the hut In the middle, as the vines of the magic beans were sent to the edge of the air domain where the giants lived, the king sent a team to rescue the princess, and Jack also joined in to save Isabelle, and the adventure officially began... I

really like this one . Version adaptation, the story is very smooth, the plot is very compact, not boring at all, and there are no bloody scenes, a version that children can enjoy. The oily hairstyle of the male protagonist Nicholas Hoult needs to be changed. The female protagonist Eleanor Tomlinson's princess looks so beautiful, and Ewan McGregor plays the captain of the guard. !

Jack the Giant Slayer quotes

  • Jack: Isabelle, hold on tight.

[grabs a liana he has cut in the giant tree]

    Jack: Ready?

    Isabelle: No...

    Jack: JUMP!

[they jump from the falling tree, hanging on to the liana. They swing around the tree before the tree begins to fall alarmingly fast and they are headed for the ground]

    Isabelle: Jack, hold me!

[Jack sees a haystack, aims for it and lets go. They hit it, but keep gliding forward in the mud, heading for a sharp farm object. They stop just in the nick of time for hitting it]

Jack: Well, that worked out better than I expected.

  • Jack: Matching armor. Nice. You look beautiful.

    Isabelle: Thank you.

Jack: They're waiting for you. But...

[Jack grabs his book from his pocket and gives it to Isabelle]

    Jack: To remember me by.

[Isabelle looks at it, but does not take it]

Isabelle: I won't need any help remembering.
