It is objectively unnatural that a baker and his wife have no children. So they want to know why there are no children and how they can have children. This is subjective will. Then Aunt May appeared and gave the answer and method. The couple stumbled into the forest. This is the state of a complete adult, and contradictions cannot be ignored, and even subjective wishes exist in accordance with contradictions. This is the stage of human development, known as the maturity season.
Cinderella, who lives with her stepmother and sisters, cannot get the affection of her parents and sisters. Young Shao Ai longs for love and has no chance. It is like a person who is thirsty and has no water to drink. This constitutes an objective contradiction. She hopes to participate in the Prince's Ball even for one night, which is a subjective willingness to resolve conflicts. Then she prays, is enchanted, has a dress and shoes, and walks through the forest to the dance. This is the beginning of adulthood—a tangle of contradictions and wills. This is an extremely important crossroads, called adulthood.
The parallel thread is the daughter who was imprisoned on the tower by Aunt Mei. Let's not talk about the past. This little girl is not deep in the world, longing for love, and not satisfied with a single and unfree family. The contradictions and wishes she faced with Cinderella were very similar, and she was also standing at a fork in the road to adulthood. This clump, perhaps because there is already another of the same relationship, is toned down in the movie. In fact, she and Cinderella are like twins, one is an older sister who faces reality too early, and the other is an overprotected younger sister.
Because of poverty, Jack, a child from a poor family, was asked by his mother to go through the forest to the market and sell his animal companion Snow White Cows. The contradiction here is the purest reality of lack of money. Friendships and kinships are crude and cheap because of economic problems, which is unnatural. Jack is a kind-hearted teenager who wants to solve his financial problems while preserving friendships. He was standing at the gate of adulthood, and he didn't know when he would be able to step through the gate. This is the stage between childhood and adulthood, called juvenile.
Little Red Riding Hood wants to go into the forest to see her grandmother. She is a real child, so she is ignorant, beautiful, and naturally cruel. There is only pure will-like the warmth and comfort of family, and it is easy to be distracted by beautiful things. This is a state in which there is only subjective will and the objective contradictions are unknown, which is called childhood.
Aside from the prosperity or desolation on the surface, it is like the four seasons of winter, autumn, spring and summer. Why don't I say spring, summer, autumn and winter, why the protagonists of this movie are the baker couple in winter instead of Little Red Riding Hood in spring. Because only by personal experience can we truly know the experience itself. Only by stepping on it with my feet, watering it with sweat, tears, or even blood, can I know what kind of flower I planted, what kind of flower it bloomed, and whether the path I walked was right or wrong. And as the story goes deeper, of course, it is not covered by the film itself in just two hours, but it is extended over time. Men build their homes, women guard their homes, children continue and develop their homes, and the fate of the characters continues in various ways. , the cube will gradually turn into a nice sphere. This is what I can foresee from the movie, a certain worldview.

Two people who run through the whole film but don't have a lot of scenes: one is Aunt Mei. She urged the (winter) baker and his wife to collect four items. In order to collect these four items, the four thread groups of spring, summer, autumn and winter were able to intersect and connect. At the same time, she is also the mother who protects her daughter too much in (another autumn), and she is the initiator of the adventure that inadvertently offered to young Jack in (Xia). One is a giantess. She is the wife of the giant brother, who originally lived above the clouds, and in the end had to avenge her dead husband. It can be said that without her, the whole story is ambiguous. Only she can let the four seasons of spring, summer, autumn and winter flow together, so that those who face choices must choose, and those who need to grow must grow. One of them appears at the beginning and dies before the end; one appears at the end, where the four clumps meet. It seems like some kind of vague hint that the story doesn't really have a beginning and an end, it's just for the feasibility of the expression, and it is artificially divided by the separators from beginning to end. These two can be regarded as figurative separators. They each have their own stories, but in the narrative here, they are read down into sentences.
Two small bosses who rush to the street as soon as they appear: Brother Grey Wolf and Brother Giant. In the Spring Line, Brother Grey Wolf seduces Little Red Riding Hood, who is gullible and brings disaster to his grandmother and himself. I have always believed that death is part of life and that darkness is part of light, not the opposite. Therefore, Brother Grey Wolf and Brother Giant are both forgivable. Anyway, they are truly "reap the consequences". No moral criticism. It's just a natural selection, survival of the fittest. Here I think of the Chinese mythology, the earliest immortals and beasts were not eliminated, but ended up as "prosperous human race". There is no power without wisdom.
Two princes, one was stabbed blind, was redeemed, and finally embraced the beautiful white prince. A gray prince who was liked, was unintentionally tempted and compromised with temptation, and finally parted ways (with Cinderella for a while). They, are the two possibilities before the baker. There is really no good or bad between these two people, they are so similar. Who knows if the White Prince will get tired of his lover, and who knows if the Gray Prince will be a prodigal son? Here, the man is not yet mature, and the feelings are not deep enough to combine the personal trajectories of the two people into one.
Four objects throughout the film: the red tunic, the snow-white cow, the golden shoes and the chestnut tresses. If you want to elaborate, each can be analyzed in depth. There are a thousand Hamlets for a thousand people, so I won't go into details. The more peculiar thing is the chestnut braid, which was invalid because it was touched by Aunt Mei, and was finally replaced by an irrelevant ear of corn. All in all, this is a movie worth remembering. It may be a bit of a mess, but it is rare that it matches my reading IQ. There is no more esoteric scientific and technological knowledge, but only simple humanities and social knowledge, which may be called facts. It is a taste suitable for all ages! As for the terrifying details that have not been published, they actually respect the original fairy tale. Many things are rough and straightforward in their original appearance, but we have beautified them from generation to generation. It's not that we are hypocritical, but - the truth is bright, but too bright a light can blind the eyes, so the previous people have to wrap up layer after layer. In the process of exploring the mystery layer by layer, only later people mastered the wisdom.
