You are My Sunshine

This is the third film I've watched James, the first two are "Becoming Jane Austen" and "Atonement", two films that make people feel depressing and infinitely regrettable, of course, I like the tone. Even if the ending wasn't perfect.

The overall tone of Penelope's film is quite light-hearted, both after watching it and during the process. Nothing bothers me about the first two.

The whole film is about a girl's very inspirational story, from knowing herself to accepting herself and liking herself. The heroine Penelope is a little girl who lives in a castle. Her birth means that she will be cursed, because her great-great-great-grandfather once failed a poor girl, the girl's mother was a witch, and the witch from there. From the beginning, the girls who were born in her family were all ugly, so ugly that one person was willing to accept her. Since then, the heroine was born with a big pig nose. Her nose is very cute in my opinion, and it looks better than later. Hahaha.

Her mother had nurtured her since she was a child, so that a son of a prince or aristocrat could take a fancy to her and accept her. But all the men fled after seeing her face, and the appearance of the male protagonist changed the mind of Penelope, who had been under house arrest, and she wanted to go out and see. Jonny (the hero's real name) told him that the park was beautiful and the draught beer at the bar was good. The heroine finally ran away from home one night and saw the outside world.

In the three separate conversations between the heroine Penelope and Jonny, although Jonny was stunned when he saw the heroine for the last time (a normal person's reaction), but, in these three simple conversations, in their communication, Jonny was found He has a strong sense of music and stage. It turns out that he is actually a band, but he has forgotten his dream and has been gambling for the past few years. The male protagonist is really hurt in his heart, and Penelope can see at a glance that little corner that no one has ever opened and known. Smart Penelope, that's it, the two of them actually have feelings for each other, but Penelope on the one hand is not confident enough in himself, on the other hand, the male protagonist can't give the female protagonist the so-called "freedom" because he feels that he is not a prince or aristocrat. ". The two almost missed it.

I have to say the second male, the manservant in Downton Abbey, that's who, I can't remember what it was called, right, I think it is, it looks familiar. He wanted to marry Penelope for the benefit of the family, but in the end, the heroine followed his heart and ran away at the wedding, finding out that it was not true love, and after accepting himself, the pig nose disappeared. The housekeeper (actually a witch) is gone too, so the only thing you can do is accept your true self, those scary appearances are just clouds. The heroine finally forgave him, the so-called relief, a person who has never truly loved, is that he let himself know that she does not love him.

Finally the guy who helped Penelope on the blind date finally told her the truth, Jonny's true identity, the plumber's son, the truth his mother wouldn't let her tell, Penelope went to him on Halloween, they kissed in the crowd and found happiness.

The witch's curse is a test for the rich man and his family. The so-called princes and nobles are just so-called blindfolds. So girls, don't be fooled by money and material things, just follow your heart, those so-called rights, if you think one day if they disappear; those so-called money, if there is no health, is there nothing. But life is so short, everyone has a way to choose happiness, whether it is material or spiritual.
