The Irish Republican Army has been tossing and turning for a hundred years, and it has not stopped. Naturally, there are countless stories to tell. An elder brother in military uniform orders his own younger brother to be shot; a doctor forced to serve in the army shoots a timid teenager, the entanglement of this scene is rarely seen even in movies. The wheat waves, farms, and mud in Ireland are so beautiful, and the girl in simple clothes but full of style, for her own piece of land, does she pay any amount of youthful declarations?

Cillian Murphy, an actor with good looks and good acting skills, has never been popular in the commercial market. He only remembers his blurred eyes in [Inception]. The small islands of England have really been nurtured by Shakespeare for too long. Just take an actor out, and they all have enough distinct personality.

The Wind that Shakes the Barley quotes

  • Damien: It's easy to know what you are against, but quite another to know what you are for.

  • Finbar: [the IRA have just gunned down several Black and Tans] Mercenaries! That were paid to come over here to make us crawl, and to wipe us out. We've just sent a message to the British cabinet that will echo and reverbarate around the world! If they bring their savagery over here, we will meet it with a savagery of our own!
