It was only after watching the full movie that I realized it was Xavier Dolan's film. I have to say, this is his best film in my opinion. It doesn't have as much pursuit of performance as before (long shots that keep zooming in and out), but really reveals from the inside out. Looking back, it was really a movie with the tone of his style. Coupled with his previous "I Killed My Mother" movie, perhaps in Xavier Dolan's personal opinion, mother has an extraordinary place in his heart.
The strange thing is that in this movie, he didn't become a pig's foot. It is true that the son character of this film is not the neurotic and hormonal exuberance that Xavier Dolan can express.
At first glance, I thought it was a Spanish movie, but I didn't feel the taste of a French movie at all.
I find myself liking this Canadian director who is younger than me more and more. Admired to the five-body cast.
