The real history is the battle between the Chinese veteran Deng Zilong and the North Korean Yi Sun-sin. It was called the Battle of Luliang, which took place in November 1598, and the so-called Battle of Mingliang occurred in March 1597. It was indeed Yi Sun-sin himself. It did, but the results were obviously exaggerated.
The scale and results of the Mingliang naval battle were less than one-tenth of the subsequent Luliang naval battle. In the Battle of Luliang, the Japanese army dispatched all navies, and the number of warships was as high as 1,000. The Sino-DPRK joint navy surrounded more than 500 Japanese main battleships with 800 warships in the Luliang sea, burned and sank more than 400 Japanese warships, and the Japanese Navy The main force was almost wiped out, and the Japanese died 12,000 people.
In the Luliang naval battle, the Japanese navy battle was Yoshihiro Shimazu. There were 500 warships and 17,000 Japanese troops. The Ming army navy was Chen Lin, 600 ships and 19,400 Ming troops led by Wang Yuanzhou. Yi Sun-sin's North Korean Navy had only 100 ships and 7,000 soldiers, and was only responsible for laying the groundwork.
Moreover, Yi Sun-sin and Ming general Deng Zilong both served as deputy generals, and were ambushed at the north side of the Luyang Strait and Guanyinpo near the South Sea Island respectively. Chen Lin, the admiral of the Ming Dynasty navy, was the commander-in-chief, leading the main force to fight the final battle with the Japanese navy at Zhudao and Shuimendong.
The real situation is that when the Japanese army broke out on November 18, 1598, they killed Yi Sun-shin and Deng Zilong who came to block them at Guanyinpo. Then the main force of the Ming army overwhelmed the fierce battle, and the Japanese army was defeated.
However, due to the propaganda of South Korea in recent years, the world, including many Chinese people, thought that the Battle of Luyang was just a great victory under the command of Yi Sun-sin, and it was better that it had nothing to do with Daming.
Ha ha. . .
