we made history

The lens language of this film is very interesting. One of the points I caught is that the sudden change of the depth of field seems to alienate the audience from the story, making us realize that this film is also a product of "producing", not reality.

Throughout this film, Stanley has been emphasizing that everything is "producing", and the media has produced reality and created history. The war in the minds of Americans is only a few pictures and videos they see through the media. With the growing power of the media, the media's "recording" of history has gradually evolved into "production", and construction has replaced reality. So there is wag the dog, put the cart before the horse, the master and the slave are reversed.

At the end of the film, the producer was secretly executed, the traces of "production" were erased, the domestic and international situation continued to develop according to the expectations of "production", the historical truth was stifled, and a new "historical truth" was born. We make history.
