It seems that there is an invisible resonance, which makes me have a feeling of seeing each other late for this movie.
At first, I thought it was referring to the male protagonist who disappeared suddenly and then kept looking for it, but later I found out that it was Alex.
From the beginning, I hoped that Matthew would find Lisa and not let Alex succeed. Later, I felt that she was a little pitiful, and at the same time, she was despised by what she did. There is nothing wrong with loving someone, but such unscrupulous actions are wrong. She didn't want to lose, so she did whatever she could, she was the one who fell in love first, but gave Lisa the chance, I think I could feel the pain when she watched them kiss, but she couldn't do anything. So when the opportunity comes, it will be so desperate. She broke them up and got nothing for herself, everyone had a new life, Lisa had a new boyfriend, Matthew had a fiancée, and she still had nothing.
If it wasn't for Matthew and Lisa meeting again, maybe it would have ended like this, but God made a joke on her and got everyone involved again.
This time she didn't want to lose again, yes.
Love is crazy and blind, Matthew betrays his fiancée and doesn't go to Shanghai, and she surrenders herself to Satan.
Her plan finally failed. Despite her many twists and turns, she still failed. She finally said what she buried in her heart, but there was no response. Matthew rushed out, just like the first time we met.
Her failure was probably doomed, but her later turning point was too blunt, without the frustration and hysteria after losing everything. Did she finally recognize all the facts? Is it utter despair? But why did he still act as if he was fully enlightened and confessed his crimes to everyone? Is such a false relief for atonement, or to make way for the hero and heroine!
At the last moment, Matthew found Lisa. It was obviously a happy ending, but it made people feel so uncomfortable. As early as when they were in the park, even when they were buying tickets, he hoped that they would not meet.
Finally, at the airport, the appearance of his fiancée should remind Matthew what reality is, but it seems to give him a chance to correct his past mistakes. It turned him into a scumbag!
After watching the movie, I didn't find what I wanted, I thought I was hysterically looking for love like an idiot, and finally found out that everything was wrong, but no, it was restored to a love fairy tale at the last moment, but it was already vulgar to the extreme.
People in reality are probably not as paranoid as Alex, or even worse, but they may also find that all efforts and unscrupulous means are in vain in the end.
Maybe I should go and see that French version, that different ending, maybe that's the reality.
