The film is adapted from Edgar Allan Poe's novel. It should be said that the aura controlled by the director is relatively close to Edgar Allan Poe's gloomy suspense novel style. Several actors also basically performed well, especially the acting of the bald doctor, which I think is the best among them. It's just that this kind of movie is not very mainstream, the style is a little outdated, and the logic is far less brain-burning than "Shutter Island", so the first impression is natural.
