Although a large part of the plot in the original book has been edited, it still depicts the characters expressed by the original author Emily Bronte as much as possible. The dancing two people in the poster even swear to the world that they are vague but real Love, the adult male protagonist in the movie looks like a kind person no matter how you look at it, but the director cruelly asked him to play Heathcliff, who is bent on revenge. From now on, the one who runs free in the wilderness, with a hypocritical heart, young Catherine. I don’t know if the director deliberately deleted the second half of the original work, or I don’t know how to express the love and contradiction between Hareton and Catherine Linton, who are descendants of Wuthering Heights and Picture Grange, but Mrs. Heathley cruelly avoided the viewers anyway. Want to know the right to the second half of the story.

None of the previous versions have portrayed the wind in the wilderness into such a full character like Andrea Arnold. The restlessness, depression, and rough love it represents make this movie extraordinary. Years later, when Heathcliff and Catherine reunited under the apple tree, the fleeting touch of the corner of Catherine's mouth was enough to crush you.

Bold and ambitious work. The works are full of things that break traditional cognition, including black male protagonists (William Wheeler's version is Lawrence Oliver). The shooting did not use conventional methods of shooting British masterpieces, hand-held photography, natural light, and many first-person perspectives. Destined to have mixed reputations, but the essence of abuse continued. The subjective lens on horseback smells the fragrance of the heroine's hair, and takes you back to that era.

Wuthering Heights quotes

  • Older Cathy: You and Edgar broke my heart. You've killed me... Will you be happy when I am in the earth? Will you forget me?

Older Heathcliff: Don't torture me! I've not killed you. I could no more forget you than myself. When you're at peace, I shall be in hell.

Older Cathy: I will never be at peace.

  • Older Heathcliff: Don't leave me here where I can't find you.
