The movie sets are indeed Tim Burton's long-standing style. The combination of various solid-color sets makes San Francisco in the middle of the last world like a fairy tale. Compared with the set, the colors of the big-eyed paintings are not so bright, which may also reflect Mag. Rhett has been in a depressed mood. This repression generally stems from economic pressure and compromise on men. Although Tim Burton is famous for his fairy tales, his works have never lacked satire on the secular human nature, and even the dark side of these human nature is the main culprit in destroying the perfect life of the protagonist.
Magritte's repression gradually accumulated from the first tolerance until her daughter discovered the truth. In fact, her inspiration for creating big eyes is not clearly expressed, but only her daughter and children with big eyes are everything in her life. Or in her world, the daughter and the big-eyed child become one, and the daughter knew that she was the child in the painting since she was a child. No matter what the mother does, the daughter supports her, and it is also because of the daughter's persistence that she finally turns over and finds justice. Her daughter gave her everything, her inspiration, her motivation to persevere every day, her determination to find justice. That simple handshake conveys the indestructible connection between mother and daughter.
This film is indeed a biopic, and there is nothing surprising about the plot story. But the frowns and smiles of the two leading actors showed the characters' characters vividly and vividly. Uncle Wa has become a liar who steals and sells his wife's paintings in his usual way of pretending to be serious. Uncle Wa's personal way of speaking is always perfectly integrated with his role. It has to be said that the Oscar winner is not a joke; Margaret, the goddess of Amy, is obedient and restless, and was beaten by men in the last century. Life is not easy for the oppressed young artistic women.
Maybe Tim Burton just wanted to play calm, telling a story with a slightly depressing ending and a very comfortable ending in a slow and gentle narrative minor.
[The third part of the practice film review, not very well written, I don't have a feeling for the last one, maybe I don't have deep emotions about the movie]
