we should be proud

I love high-spirited LGBT movies like this. Indeed, for the minority, unity is the most important thing. To obtain respect and equal rights, the minority must go through revolution and labor pains. Equality is not something to sit and wait for mercy. The title pride has many meanings, self-identity, community identity, and then universal identity, living with dignity and meaning, this is a process, this process is not easy, in fact, all minorities should be proud, because we have The basis of pride, we understand the meaning of life better than the majority, and have a better chance of having soul-mates. The trade union song at the end of the film is very good, what is it called, Xiami wood did not see the ost.

Where there is struggle, there is hope, and where there is hope, there is a future

Touching story, celebrate difference & embrace solidarity but the director is weak and a bit loose in the middle. It shows the life of different regions and different classes in the UK in the 1980s. The Welsh countryside is depressing... the streets are like Ireland. Why does everything sound like an impure Scottish sound? ? Mo Niang's performance is very moving~

Pride quotes

  • [singing in The Van Driving to Dulais]

StephStellaZoe: [to the Tune of "Solidarity Forever"] Every woman is a lesbian at heart/Every woman is a lesbian at heart/Every woman is a lesbian at heart...

Reggie: You can't possibly say that every woman is a lesbian.

    Zoe: Why not?

Reggie: Because they're not! Esther Rantzen isn't a lesbian. My mum is not a lesbian.

    Stella: How do you know?

Reggie: How do I know my Mum's not a lesbian?

Ray: What he's trying to say is, you can't make grand, sweeping generalizations. It's not acceptable.

    [beat]

StephStellaZoe: [Resumes Singing] Every woman is a lesbian at heart/Every woman is a lesbian at heart/Every woman is a lesbian at heart/Including Reggie's Mum!

  • [as Mark Leaves to Go to The March]

Mark's Crotchety Old Neighbour: I've spoken to the council about your deviant parties.

Mark: There's no need to do that. Knock on the door, we'd let you in.

Mark's Crotchety Old Neighbour: They're sending a policeman!

Mark: Oh, I do hope so.
