"The Way Back" Review - Comparable to "The Pianist"

Another good movie, a full-fledged movie. This "The Way Back" is completely comparable to "The Pianist", it's great.

The film is based on true events. The story takes place in 1940. A small group of people who were persecuted by political witches escaped from a Siberian labor camp and finally gained their freedom. The film is very political and ideological.

Let me tell you the following experiences:

1. In the eyes of Westerners, the Nazi Party and the Communist Party are the same.
2. In terms of casualties, deserts are more terrifying than snow.

The scene that left the deepest impression on me was when they crossed the border between Russia and Mongolia, Volka's performance began to attack the teammates who mocked Stalin, obviously being persecuted by the Stalin regime, and in the end saying that Stalin was a great man. There is also his sentence: "A free country is not suitable for me. With freedom, I can't do anything, really!"

I still can't understand this sentence. Is the so-called freedom just a hope, and once it is hoped for, it will be boring Yet?

A very moving film, the description of the concentration camp is a little shallow.

The Way Back quotes

  • Janusz: [eating snake] Tastes like chicken.

Zoran: Yeah. A big black poisonous chicken with no legs.

  • Mr. Smith: In the camps, some saw death as freedom.

Janusz: Then why didn't you just kill yourself?

Mr. Smith: Survival was a kind of protest. Being alive was my punishment.

    Janusz: Punishment for what?

Mr. Smith: I brought David to Russia.

Janusz: And now no one can forgive you. And you can't forgive yourself...
